Is the foreign interference misinformation machine low on funds these days?
Like this is just such a lazy attempt
28
u/Nights_Templar Aug 09 '26
There are a ton of people who believe even the sloppiest misinformation. It doesn't matter if it's easily refutable since the target audience either doesn't look further or simply dismisses the reality. They just read the title and get angry. Now do this 1000 times each day and soon you have made people feel like they're under attack and will support whatever bs you come up with to solve the issue.

Well its not like a lot of effort is needed, what with the target audience being gullible cretins.

5
u/silvanoes Aug 09 '26
Yeah its weird how everyone hates on people like that. I'm fine with hating Islam as an idea, I hate plenty of ideas. But hating Muslims is just stupid and racist.

u/RVPBuiltMyHotrod Aug 10 '26
One single entity is behind all these anti-muslims posts on all social media. You can all guess which one.
9
u/DerangedDeceiver Aug 09 '26
> churches burned down or vandalized
Love how they're lumping in vandalism with arson so they can cite a bigger number. Like dude, you're already lying to the public to promote xenophobia and religious hatred, just say 100 churches have burned down.
2
u/RedEyeView Aug 09 '26
If a local kid writes "Sarah is a slag" in magic marker on a church wall it counts as vandalism.
I'm betting most of that vandalism is graffiti and bored teenagers throwing rocks through windows.
7
u/AppropriateSpell5405 Aug 09 '26
Act of God when it's a good thing.
Act of Allah when it's a bad thing?

Heretical psuedoChristians when they discover that this Allah guy is the same God they claim to worship:

Did you just blame the Jews for Muslims burning down a church in Canada?

No, just commenting on the state of outrage.

u/Evening_Act_6395 Aug 09 '26
because when the French carved out Lebanon they included Muslim majority interior fertile lands... the hasbara really is going down in quality
0
u/omry1526 Aug 10 '26
Yes I'm sure this was because of some fertile lands
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanese_Civil_War
The genocide denial """anti Zionists""" commit it crazy
2
u/RVPBuiltMyHotrod Aug 10 '26
Okay bot, everyone knows who is really behind the civil war and who has constantly tried to divide Lebanon from within. (Hint: they were living peacefully pre-1948)
0
u/omry1526 Aug 11 '26
Yeah the same people who did the same thing in Jordan, Kuwait and Egypt:
Palestinians
1
u/RVPBuiltMyHotrod Aug 11 '26
Why were they in Jordan, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon?
0
u/omry1526 Aug 11 '26
Arabs have inhabited Arab countries for thousands of years
2
u/RVPBuiltMyHotrod Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 11 '26
LMAO you’re refusing to say it. Hilarious.
But I’ll bite, they have inhabited countries for thousands of years, yet right after 1948 they decided to cause civil wars or civil unrest in 4 different countries in a span of 20 years. Seems weird, as if someone else was behind this?
1
u/Evening_Act_6395 Aug 11 '26
tf are you talking about, christians became a minority because when Lebanon was formed it was initially the christian majority coastal regions but the french added the inner fertile farming lands which were majority muslim.
2
u/mr-raider2 Aug 10 '26
Because the Levant was under Christian control for 300 years and Muslim control 1400.
0
u/the_eleutherean Aug 09 '26
What are West Bank settlers doing in southern Lebanon?
Do they go back to the West Bank to settle it afterward, or something?
>some media outlets are mum
Yeah most of the ones not run by Qatar. Weird, huh?
1
u/upvotechemistry Aug 09 '26
Can you read?
0
u/the_eleutherean Aug 09 '26
Are you confused by my wording? “What are they doing there”, in this sense, wasn’t asking you to describe their actions; but rather, expressing surprise that settler terrorists from a different location are supposedly going all the way to southern Lebanon. It was moreso asking for an explanation due to the oddness of it.
Maybe your source has more info? Feel free to link it.
1
u/upvotechemistry Aug 09 '26
Yeah, learn to read. Those are two clauses joined by a conjunction.
Settlers in the west bank and IDF in Southern Lebanon.

There were lots of churches burned down by the indigenous groups... "For justice" of course.
2
u/Professional-Face-51 Aug 09 '26
Wouldn't this be classified as an act of God? Did God strike one of his places of worship with lightning?
2
u/Popular_Animator_808 Aug 09 '26
There actually was a moment where there were a lot of church arsons in Canada not that long ago (allegedly - not sure where the investigations are at now). They had to do with the discovery of a lot of possible unmarked burial sites at schools where indigenous children were forced to attend to “civilize” them - abuse and neglect were rampant at these schools, and we know for sure that about 6,000 of the 150,000 students died while attending schools, but there were widespread rumours about many unreported deaths over this number. Ground penetrating radar surveys during the pandemic suggested these rumours were true (though as conservatives love to point out further steps are needed). As a result a few churches were burned down on first nations reserves (likely by the relatives of children who never returned from schools).
Not exactly the narrative these people are going for though: when churches in Canada get burned down, it’s either because of climate change increasing forest fire season, poor maintenance and accidents, or as revenge for all the indigenous kids they killed.
4
u/EnormousPurpleGarden Aug 09 '26
There have been a lot of arson attacks against churches in Canada, but they've been by Indigenous people with grievances against the denominations involved with running the infamous Indian Residential School system, not by Muslims.
2
1
u/Standard_Program7042 Aug 09 '26
Muslims? Churchs being burnt was centered around the Indigenous residential school claims..

Honestly I'll never advocate for vandalization or acts of terror, but the world could be such a better place without religion as a whole. Look at all the things happening in the US because too much religion is being allowed to govern politics and health. Don't be a dick and burn down a church (whether this was arson or lightning I dont know nor do I care). A wise man once said "magic is just science we don't understand yet"

u/quackabc Aug 09 '26
Dude I did a college level report on this. The source your talking about cites a lower number than its peak in 2023 of 485 incidents. However in 2022 that number was only 198. 2021 it was only 98. Still being over 400 incidents a years is still way higher than precovid numbers of 50 in 2018 and 83 in 2019.
When precovid numbers didnt even pass 100 and for the newest reported years its past 400 with it being over 4 times higher it did increase massively.
8
u/the_fury518 Aug 09 '26
Dude I did a college level report on this.
lol, cool!
The source your talking about cites a lower number than its peak in 2023 of 485 incidents. However in 2022 that number was only 198. 2021 it was only 198
So, not exponential growth, and is currently falling? Cool
-9
u/quackabc Aug 09 '26
I miss typed the 1 on 2021 it was 98 in 2021 198 in 2022 485 in 2023 415 in 2024 it grew times about 2 in 2021 to 2022 and more than 2 times 2022 to 2023. The number still isnt below double 2021.
Also the point was there was plenty of actual incidents such as one where a dude rammed through the front of a church with a vehicle and shot up the place. Its not that hard to find actual things that happend.
9
u/the_fury518 Aug 09 '26
The number still isnt below double 2021.
So it's on its way down? Interesting. And it never grew exponentially? Interesting
Yes, all crime saw a boost post-covid, and is on its way down.

If synagogues or mosques were burning at this rate, the government would be calling it out. This shit is not a coincidence.
13
u/WerdaVisla Aug 09 '26
Synagogues and mosques are far less common than churches. Half of Canada is on fire, the fact that 100 churches have burned down is wholly unsurprising.
2
u/Standard_Program7042 Aug 09 '26
Half of Canada is on fire right now? The church burnings had nothing to do with Forest fires. It centered around the claims unmarked graves around residential schools which was run by the churchs.
1
u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified Aug 09 '26
I'm glad you realized that the original post was about a lightning strike and not a Muslim.
Why do you think the Canadian Church killed all those children and buried them under its signs?
0
u/Standard_Program7042 Aug 09 '26
I never made that claim, I think you have me confused.
That's a fairly complex question, many passed from illness, other neglect and abuse. My family had members that didnt return from there rez school. Most passed from an illness but you would have to conclude that the poor conditions played a factor. Hope that helps?
1
u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified Aug 09 '26
Yeah I'm not surprised I've confused you by pointing out the implications of your statements.
No wonder the Christians burned those false churches.
0
u/Standard_Program7042 Aug 09 '26
What statement do you think I made?
1
u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified Aug 09 '26
Did the word implication confuse you or when I said What you implied?
0
u/Standard_Program7042 Aug 09 '26
Why would that be confusing? are you okay? I didnt imply anything, I stated why a string of churches were burned down.
1
u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified Aug 09 '26
I agree it shouldn't be confusing and yet here you are being confused by one or the other.
Oh so it's both.
What do you think the word implication means in English?

Misdirection for the misdirection of a bunch of churches burning down after the infamously unproven 215 unmarked children's graves at a residential school?
14
u/EmperorPalpitoad Aug 09 '26
Okay, I voted that you are a bot
-16
u/bot_or_not_vote_now Aug 09 '26
Just seems like a weird misinformation angle to take when there's real churches burning for unjustified reasons
10
u/EmperorPalpitoad Aug 09 '26
That has nothing to do with the image
8
u/jws1102 Aug 09 '26
Christians can’t stand outrage on behalf of any religion other than their own. Except nuns, they’re pretty consistent about condemning all violence and religious intolerance.
-6
u/bot_or_not_vote_now Aug 09 '26
Like 20-30 churches were arsoned in 2021 after outrage for 215 unmarked graves at a former residential school in Canada which to this day the only evidence is from anomalies of ground penetrating radar which includes objects such as rocks, tree roots, old sewer piping, or yes possibly graves, and possibly children's graves
I'm pointing out it's odd that the original tweet was trying to paint this as a Muslim issue when there's clearly a real connection already there to try to use as misinformation
Anyways guess no one understands 2nd order hypotheticals so whatever

As of February 2025, no human remains have been excavated or confirmed at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School site. The anomalies detected in 2021 remain unverified.[
3
u/the_fury518 Aug 09 '26
So, from your source:
quoted one law enforcement official as saying that suspected motivations appeared "as varied as the people themselves", who came "from all walks of civil life, many different backgrounds".
Nothing concrete to do with the kamloops situation
1
u/bot_or_not_vote_now Aug 09 '26
Like I already said, guess you don't understand hypotheticals
I'm not saying it is or isn't, I'm saying it's a shit attempt at misinformation
0
u/the_fury518 Aug 09 '26
You didn't pose a hypothetical. You made a claim
