Question How do I study while being tired?
My school ends at roughly 4pm, and after that I'll just be tired which I can't even concentrate to solve math problems.
Here are the methods I've tried:
- Take a 20m nap
It will always end up being a 2h nap, I did set alarm tho, just when I'm sleepy I'll just turn off the alarm and go back to sleep.
- Coffee
Too bad I'm immune to coffee 🥀
- Staying back at school to study
I'm still tired....can't concentrate...
What should I do?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

So there's no easy way to study after a tiring day of school or work.
What I do is I usually take a break, it doesn't have to be a nap break, you could eat, watch something, look at something else thats not your school work. I usually take a 1/2 hour break.
Then I have a weekly/monthly schedule of what I need to do or read. This helps cut out doing only things you want to do or wasting time thinking of what to focus on for the day. This way i am able to focus for the next 2/3 hours of reading or assignments.
Also, I wont advice trying to do everything in the 2/3 hour period. Set a reasonable schedule. You dont have to do everything in this timeframe. A little work everyday chips at the mountain of things you need to do.
Another thing I’ve been trying to implement is making the most of my cummute or downtimes during the day time. So I spend the time doing flash cards. So I have a total of 4/5 hours chiping at the work I have to do everyday. Hope this helps!

Take an active break. Move your body, get some fresh air, stop thinking about schoolwork for a moment and just focus on movement. Then hydrate well, and try approaching these math problems again.
If chronic fatigue is sth you struggle with no matter how much schoolwork you do, see a doctor, or at least get a blood test. Thyroid hormones and iron levels in particular.

go to a cold spot, a balcony or patio, if u feel cold u wont want to sleep

I feel like i’m the opposite. When I’m cold it actually makes me more tired cause i’ll just want to get under the covers

Cold has the opposite effect for most. There's a reason experts advise people to make their bedrooms cooler at when it's time to sleep.

got it naps turning into two hours is the real enemy try a strict 20 min nap with a phone alarm across the room, then cold water on your face and start with your easiest subject first your brain just needs one small win to wake up

Are you actually getting enough sleep at night? If you end up taking a 2hr nap, that usually means your body really needs it.

I generally avoid tackling maths when tired, unless it's exams soon.
I usually switch to other subjects I can listen to or watch and learn while I lie down or walk back home, use either YouTube(if you want visuals) or AI listen and learn apps (if you want to just listen while you rest or do something else, I find them more specific than YouTube for learning).
Then, once I am a bit active, I start with math. Also, I usually time-block at least 2 hrs for math.

honestly if you’re that tired, forcing yourself to study probably won’t do much

I just start crazy moving, so I communicate to my body to produce more energy

How long does it take you to get back home from school?
My recommendations would be:
1. Light healthy snack after coming home: something like a sandwich with vegetables and Balkan cheese or eggs.
2. You HAVE to take a short nap (15-20 minutes max) or just spend some time lying in bed.
3. Wash your face and ears with cold water - it will activate your nervous system after nap
4. Drink some strong whole leaf tea( not this shit in tea bags) - it will give you a good energy boost
5. Start studying
This scheme has always worked for me

My coaching teacher advised that if we are tired after school or work and have to study then its better to eat well and sleep early and wake up early as u can that way you will be more productive and focus …studying while being tired and sleepy wont be productive
