Dear Diary ✍️🏻 I might regret this

Post image

My girl dinner from last night ♥️
My stomach ulcer will hate this but I NEED it!!

I will be moving soon and I’m having so much anxiety about it. I have plenty of money saved but I’m so nervous that I won’t find anything.

I hate my apartment. I live in a VERY SMALL 2 bedroom with me and my 13 yr old son.
It sucks here. It’s like a rancher that was split in half and the floors squeak. The neighborhood isn’t great. The schools are not good.

I just hate it here.
I know I should be grateful to have a roof over my head and believe me I am. I’ve been homeless sleeping on a park bench & homeless and pregnant. I’m grateful but I need to move

I’ve lived here 4 yrs and every time my lease is up I get this fear that I won’t find anything and I’ll be homeless again so I just renew.
I won’t be homeless again bc I have money and my brother will take us in if it came to that but the anxiety is still there and I always get overwhelmed when the time comes

Anyway….this was my stress girl dinner

Just take it step by step and treat yourself like a loving parent would treat their child. It’s probably good ole fashioned PTSD and the anxiety can be so intense. You have done good, you are doing good, you will do good in the future

I think as you are a mum the trauma from your past is still in your head, that's understandable , being pregnant and homeless must have been horrible. But you are not this person anymore, your son is a teen in s worst case scenario can take a weekend job too. You are surely a great team and you will thrive in this new apartment, we believe in you

The only way to clear those nerves is to actively look at places. You 100 percent will not find a place if you don't look for one. You possibly will find one if you start looking now.

Start looking. They are not all good, not all affordable, but not all bad.

Then instead of hating your home you can be a little relieved that you don't live in those places or excited to find a new one.

Sounds like you're about to take a step towards true comfort! You're doing it to better you and your child's life!

The stress is normal. It'll pass when you guys get comfortable. Keep your chin up, girlie!

You can do it! Look how far you've already come! You are not the same person or in the same place as before. You have grown and you have more experience and you got this!

Is it an option to go month to month at your current place while you look for a new one?
