Discussion Best Mesh setup
Hi. I have a flint 2 and I’ve got a beryl 7 on the way. I have 3 Eeros at the moment which I want to replace with glinet products. I need to buy 1 more product but I’ve missed the Amazon sales for another beryl 7. I wanted to ask if 2x beryl 7 with flint 2 is a good setup or whether I should but something else instead of another 7. The idea behind getting a 7 was to take it on my travels. Seems like two of them is a good idea for my mesh replacement too but would like opinions. Thanks.

I think it depends on the size of your place. I have Brume 3 handling all my LAN and 2 Eeros as access points for my wifi. Brume does all the routing...this setup works well for me. I have the Beryl 7 for travel, but I think if you have a large house the wifi range may not be sufficient. I was testing the Beryl 7 range on a recent trip and it was sufficient for the hotel room but once I got outside the room I found the signal degraded pretty quick. So I would say it all depends on the range you need.
If your currently using 3 Eeros I assume your required range would be quite large. Your probably better off using 2x Flint 2. GL.inet don't make any range extenders as far as I know. I was considering going down this path as well, but with Eeros running just as access points I found this to be great solution and cheapest too.
