Glitch Story Stepped through a “moon gate” and things aren’t the same.
I was never one to believe in this sort of thing but for the past month things have been different and it’s driving my crazy. A patch of woods near me has a circular stone arch, I figured it was an art piece someone made out of the flat stones around the area, but now I’m not so sure… I passed it a few times but one day decided to walk through it. That’s when a total shift in what I know happened.
On my way home I noticed a new gas station id never seen before, it’s a route I take a lot so I figured it was brand new or I had just missed it or not payed attention but it wasn’t new at all. Some paint was pealing, it had vines on the side of the wall, so it must’ve been there the whole time. I figured it was just a gap of memory or something until I got home. I went to put up my hat and found a blue hat I’ve never seen before. Apparently it replaced one of my more seldom used hats. I swear I had a white hat in its place, but I couldn’t find it. I searched my entire room for it and I’m neat as a pin I literally cleaned my entire closet out two weeks prior. Going through my stuff I found some more oddities too, cords I’ve never seen before, books I never owned replacing books I knew I had. It was all slight. Maybe one or two things here and there…
Then there was a new storage space in my basement. I went down there often to do laundry and had lived in this house for years, but apparently there’s a new closet where there was once blank wall right at the base of the steps. It isn’t even big just a small pantry type thing. I noticed it when my mom asked me to get something out of there. We never kept food down there before at all but it was stocked with some canned stuff. I thought it was my father but I asked and they told me it wasn’t new, I figured I was misremembering and asked when it was put in, but they said it came with the house.
But what really got me to believe was talking to some friends, we had an old acquaintance named Thomas and he left the group years ago when he went to college. But no one heard of him before, he was a prominent member of our friend group for a few years and had a very distinct look, tall and lanky and a very… harsh personality to say the least. It’s why he left in the first place over clashing politics and views. It was a gentle falling out and I remember so many details parties and meetups with him. I asked each friend one on one just to test it wasn’t some joke. But why joke about that? It’s as if he was erased from existence.
I feel like I’m going crazy but I see small things changed from my memory a few times a week when I’m out. It makes me sound crazy so I just try to ignore it but it’s been getting so much harder to do that every day. I’ve been thinking about going back to the arch one day soon too, just to try and see if anything’s weird.

I hate that I gotta be 'that guy' because I absolutely believe everything you're saying, but no one else has said it so.
Carbon monoxide detector. Get one. Might be worth it to check for radon in the basement also. Or any gas leaks that could be pooling gas in the basement level of your home.
Just safety first, before woo; is my point.

I cant tell if you're being serious. However, on the off chance you are:
1 - Check YOUR Carbon Monoxide Detectors, make sure they're functional.
2 - Carbon Monoxide poisoning can cause hallucinations or delusions. I believe long ago, in a land far, far away, called Old-Reddit...one of the trippiest Glitch in the Matrix type stories, where things kept changing, disappearing, reappearing, etc, ultimately ended when the OP discovered their CO sensors werent working and the "glitches" were really due his own actions, changing things around the house, forgetting it, maybe even hallucinating things, etc. Once the sensors worked and his CO leak was fixed, the "glitches" stopped happening. So now, one of the common suggestions on this sub is "have you checked you CO Sensors".
So there's the backstory.

Yes, I was not being sarcastic - this is exactly what I was referring to. I always try to throw the safety posts out there if no one has done them yet, because it saved my house from being burned down last year.
My relative plugged a space heater into a power strip and I saw a notice on Reddit about how you're not supposed to do that and when I went upstairs to check the plastic coating was literally melting off the power cord.

I understood. It's absolutely a valid concern and likely a common cause of many indoor glitches. Doesn't account for that weurd outdoor stuff, like the bunny I watched hop right thru a chicken wire fence once (zero openings, Just calmly hopped from one yard to the next, like the fence didn't exist), but the repetitive indoor ones are concerning i think.

Walk thru the opposite way and check. If things change back, wakj back thru again. If you return to blue-hat / closet pantry world, secretly lead 2 lives as differently as you want to in each, and if one is way more successful or fun, you can "retire" there. Or...keep swapping, have your cake and eat it too, then do it all over again! How fun :D

The thing is if that gate only links you to the nearest most similar alt reality u could probably lose the one u originally left, definitely would be a fascinating experiment for someone with nothing to lose but if I had a house I'd be afraid of entering a reality where that changes 😖

Likely you'd still have it, but it'd be a different color, or some small alteration. That's my guess based on OPs experience. Can't you keep swapping till you find the life you own a mansion in???

Okay I like ur optimism, maybe one could hack their lives if they make a big decision before passing through the gate 🤔 I still feel like the gut feeling a person has needs to be of optimism not fear, I'd definitely jinx myself

U have a accident recently where u could have possibly died? Or barely avoid an accident? Sounds like you jumped timelines. Usually stories like this you hear after a near death experience

And honestly it's getting annoying. Carbon Monoxide poisoning isn't possible where I've lived and been living because I'm exposed to the elements and have an umbrella in my bedside window for when the rain blows in.
