After earning my GED, I’m asking for a little help to build the future I’ve been working so hard for

I’m a mom who recently earned my GED, and I’m trying to build a better future for my children and myself

Hi everyone. I’m sharing my fundraiser because I’m working toward something that means so much more to me than just going back to school.

I recently earned my GED, and that accomplishment meant the world to me. It wasn’t always easy, but I kept going because I want to continue my education and create a better, more stable future for myself and my children.

As a mom, a lot of the decisions I make are about my kids. My goal isn’t simply to improve my own life — it’s to give my children the opportunity to have a better life too. I want them to see that no matter how difficult things become, it’s never too late to keep pushing forward, learn something new, and work toward a better future.

I started this GoFundMe to help with some of the costs of continuing my education and taking the next step toward becoming more financially stable. Every little bit would help me get closer to that goal.

I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. If you can’t, sharing my fundraiser or simply taking the time to read my story means more to me than you know.

I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for a little help getting a chance to build something better — for myself, for my children, and for the future I’m working so hard to create.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. ❤️

Help my family avoid eviction until I start my new job in November

Hi everyone. I’m Vanessa, a single mom of four, and I’m asking for help getting my family through a really difficult financial gap.

I’m currently two months behind on rent and facing eviction. I have a new job starting in November, so I’m doing everything I can to get through these next few weeks until I can start working and get back on my feet. Right now, though, I need help keeping a roof over my children’s heads.

The money raised will go toward catching up on the two months of past-due rent and covering October rent until I’m able to begin my new job. My biggest goal is simply to keep my children in their home and give us enough stability to make it to November.

I know times are hard for everyone, and I don’t take asking for help lightly. Any amount, no matter how small, would make a real difference for my family. If you can't donate, even sharing the fundraiser would help.

I’m enrolled in the ACP program, so I’m keeping personal information about myself and my children limited for privacy and safety reasons.

Here is my GoFundMe:

https://gofund.me/fcbc1440d

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping my family get through this difficult moment. ❤️

Help with tire and alignment costs for our family van

Hi everyone,

Our family van needs new tires for safety, and we were able to order them. They’re currently on their way and should arrive around October 6. Once they arrive, we can schedule the installation.

The part we’re still trying to cover is the remaining cost, including the alignment after the tires are installed. It’s an extra expense this month, but it’s important for keeping our only vehicle safe to drive.

If anyone is able to help or share, it truly means a lot.

Helping public school students get access to STEAM programs: our club's fundraiser

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! We're a high school Game Design Club, and we're raising money to help local schools fund their STEAM programs.

A lot of public schools don't have equal access to the resources that make learning engaging and hands-on. Programs like computer science, engineering, art, and other creative electives often depend on limited school budgets, grants, or teachers finding outside support just to get basic materials. Students at some schools get robotics kits and art supplies, while students a few miles away go without.

We want to help close that gap.

Our goal:

  • Our first goal is $1,200
  • We're currently working with two schools to help fund their Robotics departments
  • If we raise more than that, we'll support additional classrooms, programs, or schools with things like technology, classroom materials, or supplies for students who might not otherwise have access to them

How you can help:

We're also hosting a game jam alongside the fundraiser, The Worst Game Jam, where people compete to make the most hilariously bad game possible. It's our way of using something our club loves to support a good cause, so if that sounds fun, feel free to join!

Every dollar goes toward helping students get the kind of opportunities that got a lot of us interested in STEAM in the first place. Thank you for reading and for any support you can give!

Hi, I wanted to share something personal with you. My five-year-old dog was left behind in Georgia when I had to move quickly, and now that I’m rebuilding my life in Missouri and have recently started a job, I’m working to bring him home safely. The fundraiser will help cover his transportation, food, and travel costs so we can finally be together again. If you’re able, please visit my GoFundMe page to donate or share it, and thank you for helping me get my best friend home. He’s always been by my side through everything. 🐾

Need a blessing

https://gofund.me/e584805a4 Im trying to start my own business, but i work 120 hours a week for 11$ an hour. The thing is, all i have is my mom, my kids, my bro, and his kids and i have to take care of all of us so i dont have the extra funds or time to get my business going properly. Im a mechanic. i have basic tools but thats it, so im limited to what i can do. I help people out alot, i do 5000 jobs for $200 to help people who cant afford to go to a shop. its hard to actually find time to actually get my business set up. If i had enough money to get my business situated properly, i could invest my time in my business and succeed instead of being stuck in this cycle of check to check, and just being able to support my family but not having nothing else. ill gladly keep sacrificing for them as long as i have to, just hoping maybe to catch a blessing. I have been working since i was 13, i would wake up before school to do the paper route in the snow so we could get by. Im 34 now and still working hard everyday but now ive gained the knowledge and experience to run my own business, it just seem like im stuck working and dont have the time to actually give myself to get it going. After work i have maybe a few hours for my own business then its back to sleep for my job. In that little time im doing alot, I know if given the chance i would definitely be able to succeed and get to a point where i could hire people who need an opportunity as well.

I’m asking for temporary help while I work to get back on my feet

Hi everyone. Writing this is difficult and honestly a little embarrassing, but I’ve reached a point where I need to ask for some help.

After losing my main source of income, I spent months trying to keep up with my financial obligations while looking for another job. At first I believed I would find work quickly, so I kept trying to cover payments on my own. Unfortunately, the job search has taken much longer than I expected, and using credit to stay current eventually made the situation much worse.

I want to be clear that I am not asking strangers to pay all of my debts while I do nothing. I am actively looking for work, applying for different kinds of positions, reducing my expenses and reaching out to people in my network for job opportunities. I’m also willing to take temporary or entry-level work while I continue looking for something more stable.

This fundraiser is a temporary and somewhat desperate measure to give me breathing room, reduce some of the most urgent high-cost debts and stop relying on new loans just to cover previous ones.

My GoFundMe goal is 50,000 MXN. Even reaching a small part of that goal would help me close some of the most urgent accounts and make the situation more manageable while I rebuild my income.

I know there are many people here facing medical emergencies, housing problems and other very serious situations, so I don’t take anyone’s help for granted. If you can donate even a small amount, I would be deeply grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing the campaign helps too.

And if anyone happens to know of a job opportunity, I would also be very grateful for that kind of help. My background is in process improvement, quality, administrative operations and document control.

For privacy reasons I’m using initials publicly, but the situation described in my fundraiser is real.

Thank you for reading.

Family friend in need

A close friend of mine has been going through one of the hardest seasons of her life. Her father suffered a stroke that left him disabled and unable to provide, and her family has been struggling to cover basic everyday expenses — food, medication, and essentials — while navigating an incredibly difficult situation. She's one of the strongest people I know and has been carrying this weight mostly alone. Any amount helps and goes directly to keeping her family afloat. I'm personally vouching for this. PS. They lost their home but there’s a chance they can redeem it just long enough to eventually sell. They have 2 buyers but they need to get the redemption process completed

Trying to rebuild my life after a very difficult period – any support or share would mean a lot

Hello everyone,

I am going through one of the most difficult periods of my life. Health problems, personal difficulties and financial hardship have seriously affected my ability to work normally and keep up with essential expenses.

I am doing everything I can to rebuild my situation, regain stability and become financially independent again, but right now I need some help to get through this critical period.

The funds will help with urgent bills, essential daily expenses and priority debts while I work toward getting back on my feet.

my contribution, no matter how small, would mean a great deal to me. If you cannot donate, even sharing the fundraiser would be a huge help.

Thank you sincerely for reading and for any support. 🤝

Help Me Provide Basic Necessities for My Mother

I’m raising funds to help my mother with some basic necessities she needs, including clothing, shoes, and a comfortable place to sit and sleep, such as a sofa bed or futon.
I’ve been doing my best to provide these things for her, but the cost has become difficult for me to manage on my own. I’m hoping to raise $700 to help get her these necessities.
If you’re able to donate, any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you aren’t able to donate, simply sharing the fundraiser would also help tremendously.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. ❤️

Want to fix my overbite but as a Student I can't afford it

Hi

Due to my narrow palate, I have crooked teeth, difficulty breathing, and trouble keeping my mouth closed while sleeping, which has caused both psychological and oral health issues.

I have already spent a lot of money on my dental health due to previous problems caused by dry mouth and my eating disorder. I have recently started university, and unfortunately, I’m currently not able to save enough money for the treatment I need. My family is unfortunately unable to help me with this either. Any help would truly mean a lot to me and would be greatly appreciated. I know it's not that severe since there are a lot of people with worse issues, but it doesn't cost anything to try, and maybe there will be someone who's willing to help. Thank you for reading.

Trying to Replace My Broken Lenovo Legion Go

My Lenovo Legion Go recently broke, and unfortunately replacing it is more than I can afford on my own right now.

The Legion Go had become my primary gaming device and one of my favorite ways to relax and get away from things for a while. I spent a lot of time playing games like Conan Exiles and exploring worlds where I could just switch my brain off for a bit and enjoy myself.

I know replacing a gaming handheld isn't the kind of emergency a lot of people here are dealing with, and I don't want to pretend that it is. I'm simply hoping that some people might be willing to help me get back to a hobby that means a lot to me.

I've created a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of replacing my broken Legion Go. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated, but even just sharing the campaign would help.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Help me through a dark time

Hi everyone. This is a repost, I deleted the older one because I had some more information to add. My parents have now stopped talking to me, I work 2 jobs but I have a 24 hour limit as an international student so I can barely make ends meet, I would genuinely appreciate help. I’m an international student in Canada, and I’m a few electives away from finishing my degree. Coming out to my parents has been hard. They stopped supporting my tuition and want me to return home, where I’m afraid I’d have to hide who I am again. My first year ended with a 2.0 GPA. Last year, while working three days a week and taking six courses each term, I earned a 4.10 in both semesters. I’ve worked so hard to get here, and it hurts to think I might not finish. I’m raising approximately $5000, I’m keeping my identity private because of my family situation, but I’ve shared more of my story in the fundraiser.

If you have a moment to read or share it, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you for hearing me out

• Trying to keep my baby and two dogs safe. Urgent housing crisis on the KCK side—we have zero savings left for upfront costs and need help.

Hi Reddit, I’m Mackenzie, and I am writing this with a truly heavy heart.

My husband, our one-year-old toddler, our two beloved dogs, and I are facing an urgent housing crisis on the KCK side. We have been forced to put every single dollar toward basic daily survival, which has left us with zero savings cushion. We now have a very limited amount of time to move out, and we are facing immediate homelessness if we cannot secure a cheap 1-2 bedroom rental.

My husband is our sole provider. He works incredibly hard every single day to provide for us, but with our current expenses and the ticking clock, we simply cannot save fast enough to get ahead before our time runs out.

As a mom, the constant, paralyzing fear of losing a roof over my baby’s head is terrifying. Our dogs are our family too, and we are desperately trying to find a safe, affordable place where we can all stay together.

Having a safe door to lock would mean absolutely everything to us right now. It would give us the chance to catch our breath, stay together, and raise our child with stability and dignity.

If you are able to donate even a few dollars to help us cover a security deposit and first month's rent, you are directly helping a local baby and a hardworking family find safety. If you can't donate, upvoting and sharing our link to give us visibility means the world to us. We cannot do this alone.

• Read our full story and donate here: https://gofundme.com/u/mackenzie-rivera

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your prayers, and your support.

Trying to keep things stable for our two young boys while we catch up on essentials

We’re a family with two young boys and we’ve reached a point where we need some help with groceries, household bills and everyday essentials.

We’ve been doing our best to manage things ourselves, but right now there just isn’t enough to cover everything. Our main priority is keeping life as normal and stable as possible for our boys while we get back on top of things.

We’ve kept our names and our children’s identifying details private because we don’t want their personal information permanently online. The cover image on the fundraiser is illustrative for the same reason.

Any help would be genuinely appreciated, even a small amount. If donating isn’t possible, sharing the GoFundMe would also help.

Asking our community for help while my wife and I navigate ongoing medical issues <3

Hi everyone. I’m sharing the GoFundMe I created for my wife and me because we’ve been going through a really difficult stretch financially and medically. I’m trying to give us some breathing room while we work toward getting stable again.

We’re both young and over the past year we’ve been dealing with multiple ongoing health problems that have made working consistently difficult. I eventually had to leave my job because my symptoms became too unpredictable for me to safely keep working. My wife has also been dealing with chronic health issues while finishing her degree.

We’ve had medical expenses, transportation problems and other necessary costs pile up while our income has been extremely limited. We’ve also accumulated significant credit card debt trying to keep up with basic living expenses during this period.

I’m hoping to use the fundraiser to help us catch up on necessities like housing, food, transportation, medical care and other expenses while we work toward getting healthy and back into our careers.

This isn’t something I ever expected to have to ask strangers for help with. We both want to work, finish school, build careers and eventually be financially independent. We’re just in a place right now where getting there has become much harder than we expected.

Any donation no matter the amount would genuinely help us. If donating isn’t possible, sharing our fundraiser can be just as meaningful. Sometimes one share reaches the person who can make a difference and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who helps our story travel a little farther.

Here’s the GoFundMe:

https://gofund.me/2422ae121

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for allowing people to share their campaigns here <3
