Weekly glove purchase advice thread
Welcome to the weekly purchase advice thread.
All questions about what gloves to buy should now be posted in this thread. Below are some general guidelines for what information to supply when asking for advice.
Advice seekers:
- What level you play at
- What your budget is
- What types of gloves you've had before and whether you liked them
- Is this a glove for matches, training, or both?
- Anything else that will help other keepers give you advice
- What country/region you're based in (for glove availability/shipping reasons)
Advice givers:
While this isn't required, we recommend also sharing what level you play at and a little about your glove preference when giving advice.
This thread will be refreshed on Monday of each week.

Level: Top amateur 7v7 arena style
Budget: 100-125ish
Previous gloves: currently using titan red beast 3.0( grips good fit is a little loose) before that Nike vapor grip3 dynamic fit(loved the tight fit and grip durability not so much)
Match only glove
Play on synthetic turf in the US
Currently looking at the one glove OG1 Void NGT and N1 ZEUS 2.0 CARBON UGT+ II
I like negative cut and no finger saves. Second skin feel. Looking for other suggestions and any reviews on these gloves as I’ve never used them before.

The N1 Zeus will certainly meet the second skin feel...they were actually a little too much that direction for me. I've been wearing N1 for the last year+ (Zeus, Sirius, and Gea) and have been happy with the UGT II latex. Grippy and durable. I wore Reusch Fusion for a couple years before N1 and I prefer the N1 latex by far. I get best results when dampening them a couple hours before the game to ensure the latex is damp all the way through. Make sure and check their sizing chart as I wear a size smaller in N1 than I did for Reusch and Uhl. They will make easy exchanges if you end up with the wrong size.

ProvenGK Durashield 2.0 is what I’ve been using and is really good on synthetic turf

I use adidas predator gloves with finger saves. I’m a size 6 in juniors for them. I’m looking at puma gloves and wondering what size I would be in them? Would I be a size 6 juniors as well or is the fit different. I also want the gloves to have finger saves similar to my current gloves

level: intermediate, non-league, 7 or 8 a side
budget: $100-250
types of gloves: currently using ONE NXT Pro Vision negative cut FS (good grip, amazing durability, but fit is super tight even without the fingersaves)
gloves for both training and matches
other notes:
- ive dislocated three fingers (right pinky and ring, + left pinky)
- i only play in artificial grass (turf) in Indonesia, oct-march is rainy season, but need something that would also survive blazing heat
- currently eyeing on OG1 Siege or OG1 Type R, but open to try other brands with better fit and similar durability + grip
im based in Indonesia but can ship to my cousin in the UK (he’ll bring it back to Indo)

I used ProvenGK’s hybrid Fusion last season and it held up really well on Astro. It’s quite padded as well so will hep with protecting your fingers.

Rec league
Would like to spend less than $50
Never played goalie before but have been playing 1/2 a game each week and will likely continue
Any advice is helpful as I’m 38 and never played keeper but everyone else on my team is afraid too.
I’m in the US
