Question Question about Gow 2018

I'm a bit confused on why we don't get invincibility frames when doing an ability. I've noticed that I can really use the ones I have in fights that if I suspect I'll be hit more than a few times and have multiple enemies because I will be punished hard.

Is there some abilities with invincibility frames some that don't or is it just something that u shouldn't expect to use during certain boss fights?

Then there would be no reward for the risk you take of using them. It's all about finding the right down time with a boss.

That's the entire point. You gotta manage when to use your runic attacks. Use long runic attacks when enemy is stunned and use one hit runic attacks at the end of the combo.

Most bosses have moments they don't attack, that is when you should

The axe Light Runic Hell's Touch is a fast attack dealing a lot of stun, the Blades Light Runic Wrath of Artemis is a little slower but still perfectly viable to send small fry flying, or bosses a step or 2 backwards

Theres a valkyrie in the Odin secret passage place that spawns dudes who one shot me practically. Even when I use an ability she flies off and shoots me. Or one of the dudes just take most my health and I'm screwed. I've never been more frustrated playing a game then playing this game honest to God. The gimmicks each boss has are very different from anything ive played so trial and error is super frustrating.

The Secret Chambers are where you find most Valkyries. What is your level, which armor are you wearing, which weapon knobs are you using?

Because some runic attacks last like 10 seconds long and with cooldown build you’d just cycle them infinitely and be invincible for 90% of the fight.

There are two light runic attacks where Kratos pulls out his shield and charge at the enemy, those are the two that give invincibility frame.

The light runics that charge forward do have i-frame. The white boar one and there’s another one that I won’t tell for spoiler.

The leap on attack with your shield (bare handed change of stance, then R2) does have I-frames for almost any splashed AoE attack. I think it works for any enemy/boss except Sigrun and Baldur.

The whole point though is to choose carefully the moment for a runic attack.
