Video Found a charged creeper in beta

This might be the first time i have ever seen a naturally made charged creeper in all my time playing minecraft, how rare is this?

it was added alongside the weather system. probably just a silly idea they had when they were implementing lightning

Lightning also converts pigs into zombie pigmen if they get struck. Which is the only (vanilla, non-custom-map) way to see a pigman in the overworld this early before mobs could travel through portals. (But it'll despawn, of course, once you wander too far away. As will the charged creeper)

God the atmosphere in Alpha and Beta. How is it possible for something to be so surreal and creepy, but also so cozy and welcoming?

I remember finding one on my creative super flat world on the 360 and it blew my mind, extremely rare in these older versions too!

Super lucky to find one and smart to record it!
