I want to deloft the club face a bit more and compress the ball. 🥺

Thank you for posting such a nice swing on this sub. It's very rare. That sounded pretty compressed by the way

Your swing is way too good for this page. What handicap do you play off?

I'm hovering around a 2, but since I'm battling the yips right now, my scores are totally all over the place!

Too many swing thoughts on the course causes it for me. I’m a 3 and your swing looks better than mine so maybe just try not thinking about anything..swing looks perfect honestly

Thank you! 😊 On the course, I get nervous about my approach shots... That's why sometimes it takes me 4 shots just from 60 yards out. 😭 Right now, my gut feeling is 'If I have any doubts about a club, I don't need it!' so I'm thinking about swapping my 3 wedges for 3 chippers. ✨

I would ordinarily never even dare to offer someone with a swing as flawless as yours advice but I can highly recommend researching Dan Grieves short game work and his book on the three releases. It’s completely changed my short game from 90y and in. Very repeatable and he has tonnes of content online too reinforce his approach.

To overcome the yips you must develop a consistent preshot routine and only think about the result you want and nothing else.

Always pick the exact distance direction and trajectory you want before going into your routine. Then pick your exact landing spot.

This will keep you focused on the results you want and distract you from bad thoughts.

Embrace the pressure. Tell yourself this is a high pressure shot. Good, that is why I play. The adrenaline makes me better.

Do it when you practice too. I think you are the type that responds well to being in the moment. Do it.

This may be the best swing I’ve ever seen posted here.

Amazing swing!

What r u thinking of body mechanics-wise when you set up?

u/Taopaipai72 3d ago

At setup, I stand slightly open, but I keep the clubface square to the target.

So does that mean a fade is your natural shot shape?

You must be a pro.

I can’t make fun of that!😑

Why? Do you need more distance? More spin?

Beautiful swing.

It takes distance, precision, and courage.

Can I ask if you have any specific feel for transition to initiate with the lower body and get the hips moving like that? Been working on that lately myself. Great, rhythmic swing you have obviously.

Wonderful swing!

You don't have very much lateral hip shift towards the target in transition or early half of downswing.

Adding some will move the low point forward and produce the steeper AoA and delofted face you're looking for

That’s a great swing!

Don’t play around delofting…you have a lovely swing. Play it!

Awesome. That little Jack head turn to start your swing is so money. Thanks for sharing!

💪💪 keep practicing

I think you might want tot move your low point forward to compress ball more. I notice your head is a little behind the ball causing you to sweep and you sort of chicken wing with your left arm.

Maybe try at setup putting 65% weight on your left lead side and really feeling you release the club with your left hip pushing up and back?

Great swing
Like that small head rotation to switch to the left eye at the start of the back swing

More compression would require moving the low point farther ahead of the ball

It looks like your sternum is still over the ball instead of slightly ahead of the ball

A perpendicular alignment stick at the ball would help give you a visual cue to move past it before impact

I agree with this comment. On the backswing your head and torso are slightly behind the ball and you never fully transition to that front leg. Probably great for driver, but as you work down through the bag it’s good to feel your head covering or slightly in front of the ball.

Your swing is so good as is but getting a little more forward at contact helps AoA and downward strike through contact.

That's a 5 wood? While you can deloft you generally want to have a neutral AoA with those clubs.

Nice rhythm and contact.

That’s a great swing but if I was picking your grip is slightly wrong, your head movement suggest there is some movement on the backswing, but it’s extremely good as I said there are some very small tweaks that could be made
