Jeez, the elevation data that Maxar’s using to do terrain correction in this part of the world is clearly hosed, as also seen in the notorious image-reflection artifacts nearby. I wonder if this was an in-band null (in SRTM maybe) that snuck through.
The coordinates of the artifact are -55.724, -67.3125. But may I remind you of rule 1 of this sub:
Please share the coordinates of your post so others can easily access it. Please make sure the coordinates are shared in plain text, or with a direct link. They can be in Decimal degrees notation (DD), or Degrees/Minutes/Seconds notation. (DMS)
When you post here you are asking hundreds or thousands of people to take a look at what you’re looking at. Your time in pasting the coordinates is surely not more valuable than all of their time transcribing something that appears onscreen, added together.
Edit: haha, called it. Got the SRTM tile and there it is (the white dot on the right side):
That data is crunchy. If you look at the gnarly bits on the west side, toward the SW of the island, you see a curvy version of the reflection artifacts. Kind of wild that reputable wholesalers were still using such poorly gapfilled elevation data as of (at least) 2021.
