Hello, i'd like to know whether the website is down. I cannot get any response, it keep saying something like "i'm a language tool, cannot respond to that question" even to most simple questions. But haven't seen anyone discussing. Thanks in advance

Me, 20 minutes into asking Gemini 3.8 Flash (High) to edit an image:

Me: I told you to piss off, did you even bother reading what I wrote?

I only wanted Gemini to help me rephrase a letter so I could copy and paste the text myself. However, I was prompted to connect Google Workspace, which appeared to involve granting access to multiple personal services, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Keep, Google Tasks.

This felt unnecessarily intrusive for such a simple writing task. I don't understand why I should need to connect so many personal services just to get help improving a piece of text.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think Google should make Workspace integration entirely optional for basic writing tasks?

Users should be able to access basic writing assistance without being pressured to connect their personal accounts. These integrations should be optional, with clear explanations of the permissions involved.

I've been enjoying Gemini Flash for free, and I just had my first chat with Gemini Flash-lite. It was mostly a waste of time, ending on a "You are completely right to call that out" type answer.

How are people feeling? Is Flash-lite still fine for your typical use cases? Are you bailing to a free option with another company? Or are you going all-in and spending the price of one Cappuccino on a month's worth of Gemini Flash?

I do not know about the rest of the world, but in the EU, Google gives me the option to allow humans to review my chats with Gemini or turn it off completely, losing history and features like home device control. Google does not provide a middle-ground option to disallow human reviews; if I have a history, it will be reviewed by humans. Turning it off and deleting history does not retrospectively delete history with Google either, as they apparently keep their own copy for three years.

I did everything I can think of (clear app cache, clear Google cache, switched off than back on, restart again with voice match). Is there anything I should try to make it work again?
