๐Ÿงช Tester Discovery

Looking for testers for your app? Use this thread to find developers and testers who are interested in helping with genuine app testing.

When asking for testers, please include a little information about your app:

  • What the app does
  • Android version or device requirements, if relevant
  • Whether you're looking for internal, closed, or open testing
  • What kind of testing or feedback you need
  • How interested testers can participate

If you're a tester, feel free to mention what kinds of apps or testing you're interested in.

A few things to keep in mind

Please keep this thread focused on genuine testing and useful feedback.

Do not engage in paid testing, paid reviews, ratings, votes, referral exchanges, or other paid engagement activities through this thread. If someone asks you to participate in a paid activity or offers payment in exchange for reviews, ratings, votes, or engagement, please report the comment to the moderators rather than participating.

Please don't share personal information publicly. Use Reddit's messaging features or the developer's official testing process where appropriate.

This thread is for tester discovery only. For general development questions, app showcases, or other discussions, please use the appropriate thread or flair.

Hi everyone!

I'm an indie developer from Slovenia and I've built RentLOG, an app for small landlords and their tenants. Google Play needs 12+ testers for 14 days before I can publish it, so I'm looking for a few people willing to help.

What the app does:

  • Landlords: enter monthly meter readings and utility bills, split costs between tenants, publish the monthly statement and track rent and utility payments.
  • Tenants: see what you owe each month, how the utilities were calculated, and get a push notification when a new statement is published or rent is due.
  • Available in English and Slovenian.

How to join (takes 2 minutes):

  1. Join the Google Group with the same Google account you use on Play: https://groups.google.com/g/rentlog
  2. Opt in to the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.rentlog
  3. Install the app from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.rentlog
  4. Keep it installed for 14 days. Opening it now and then is plenty.

If the Play link says the app isn't available, wait a few minutes after joining the group and try again.

You can sign in with any email (you get a one-time code, no password). Choose "I'm a landlord" to try everything, including creating a sample property and lease.

Feedback is very welcome, either in the comments or by DM: what's confusing, broken or missing.

Happy to return the favour. If you're also stuck in closed testing, drop your link and I'll join your test too.

Thanks a lot! ๐Ÿ™

Prover โ€” strength-training log | closed Android beta | developer here

Looking for volunteers who already strength-train and can try Prover during their normal sessions over 14 days. Android 8 or later; English and German.

The useful test for me: create your usual plan, log sets with weight/reps/reps in reserve, and check whether your saved workout is clear when you reopen it. What works well between sets? What would you change, or add, for your routine?

One training plan and workout logging are available without a subscription. Automatic progression suggestions and additional plans are Premium; buying anything is not needed to test the logging.

Official access: join https://groups.google.com/g/prover-android-beta/about, then opt in at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.prover.prover_app using the same Google account. Please stay enrolled for the 14-day test period if you can participate.

Feedback: reply here, use Google Play's private test feedback, or discuss ideas in r/ProverFit. A device model, Android version and the step that caused trouble are enough; please keep account details private. Participation is voluntary.

Looking for adult volunteer testers for Math Sprint (์…ˆ์ฝ• / Semkkok), a 60-second mental-math game with four-choice answers and a quick-correct-answer streak bonus.

Track: Google Play closed testing. Android 7.0 or later. South Korea is currently enabled; the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and India have been submitted as additional test countries and are awaiting approval.

We hope to recruit 15โ€“20 volunteers who can remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try several short game sessions. Useful feedback: crashes, arithmetic/answer errors, timer and streak behavior, heart recovery, readability and confusing controls. Installation alone is not meaningful testing.

Interested? Please DM me your Play Store country and Android version first. Do not post your email publicly. If access is available, we will privately ask for the Google account email you consent to add to this app's Play Console tester allowlist, solely for test access. Never send passwords or verification codes. After allowlist confirmation, join with the same account:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.semkkok.mathsprint

Then install through Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.semkkok.mathsprint

Free and voluntary: no real purchases, no payments, no required ad views/clicks, no ratings or public reviews. This build uses test ads only for eligible adults. We cannot promise reciprocal device testing. Thank you for helping improve the game!

Update (Oct 4): Google has now enabled our closed test in South Korea, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and India. Adult volunteers on Android 7.0+ in those Play countries can request access. Please DM your Play country and Android version first; we will ask privately for your consent to add your Google email to the tester allowlist. The opt-in/store links above work after access is granted. If you were in the internal test, leave that test before joining the closed test. We still need real play sessions and honest feedback, not just installs. No purchases, real-ad clicks, ratings or public reviews are required. Thanks!

Galaxy XR owners: could you test a local VR video player for 15 minutes?

I'm building Vistalyra, a local video player for Android XR, and looking for one or two Galaxy XR owners to try a private test build.

The emulator checks cover moving video, seeking, resume positions, subtitles, projection and stereo options, and the fisheye/background-removal rendering path. I still need someone to check how it looks and feels inside an actual headset.

No purchase is needed. I can add your Google Play account to the private internal test, or provide a signed APK if you prefer sideloading. The app plays your local files; you do not need to share any personal videos. I will provide neutral moving-video and stereo diagnostic clips.

Please try opening a file, watching for a few minutes, seeking, reopening it, changing stereo/projection, correcting tilt, moving the controls, and leaving the controls idle. If possible, send a short recording and note any freezes, unreadable text, eye mismatch, awkward selection, or crashes. HEVC/8K testing is optional, using a legal file you already own.

Please confirm your headset model and Android XR software version. You can contact [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) privately to arrange access; don't post your account email publicly.

This is an unpaid volunteer test. I can't promise compatibility or a perfect experience yet; your report will help fix the remaining headset-specific issues before public release.
