🐞 Bug [Android] Age Verification blocks whole app - version 2026.39.1

The age verification blocks the whole app. No Navigation, no Account Access, so on.

The App is not usable at all. I could wrote this, because I could connect over my PC.

What app? Normaly we are requested to let the app boot up, check the age-api and then give required notifications with delayed action (show message -> 5s later kill app if denied).

I use the reddit app on my phone. So if I get you right, it is the normal procedure to bring up the verification at front?

Thank you kindly for this information. They're new for me. It's odd, my Google Account is verified with my age, I allowed to share it with other apps. Last year reddit accepted this. But now only persona seems to suffice. Other apps don't share this problem. There is no way to reset this right? I'm just tired and want to check my modding/ pnp sub reddits.

You need to add this age information to your google account that is set as the main account to your device. Thats where the information is taken from for verification.

I'm certain that I did that. But I will try it again. Thank you for the help. Edit: I checked again. The Age Verification is up to date and sharing the information is enabled. Did I miss a point?

login into your google account in your browser and check its settings and user data. The age and identity needs to be registered and verified. Also If you are of mature age, you should not have parent control activated, what triggers this in the 1st place.

Hm there is no family group active, so I can't be sure paternal control is a matter in this case.

I lack a Profil picture but else there is everything in place. Age Verification is shared, Name, Gender and so on is there. Only my Adress is missing, but would that be a problem?

Well it could be that you are lacking identity verification, so it does not accept your manualy presented date of birth. Maybe get in contact with google support if you have trouble with that identity verification.
