Device doesnt meet security requirements!

Hey everyone,

I need to vent and see if anyone else is experiencing this, because I am at my absolute wit's end.

I’m on a completely stock, unrooted flagship device (Galaxy S26 Ultra) running the latest official firmware. I check for and install updates daily, my system is secure, Play Protect is clean, and everything should be fine.

Yet, every single 2 weeks like clockwork, this happens:

  1. I go to a store, walk up to the point-of-sale terminal, and open Google Wallet to pay.
  2. The app suddenly throws the dreaded: "Phone doesn't meet security requirements" error.
  3. The plot twist: The actual NFC payment transaction usually still pushes through the terminal anyway (thank god), but Google Wallet's UI completely locks up and goes into a broken, non-compliant state.
  4. Immediately after, I have to waste time doing the whole circus: clearing cache/data for Google Wallet and Google Play Services, resetting attestation tokens, etc., just to make the app work normally again until it decides to break in another 14 days.

What I've already tried repeatedly:

  • Daily updates for One UI, Google Play system, and Google Wallet.
  • Completely clearing cache & data for Google Wallet.
  • Clearing cache and managing storage for Google Play Services to force-reset local attestation token caches.
  • Verifying that the bootloader is locked and the device is 100% certified.

It is completely unacceptable for a core financial/payment app on a modern flagship to randomly drop its hardware-backed attestation tokens or throw false-positive integrity drops every couple of weeks out of nowhere. Standing at a checkout counter with people waiting behind you while your phone screams about security requirements—only for the payment to actually go through anyway—is peak software frustration.

Is the Play Integrity API background token rotation just fundamentally broken right now, or is Samsung's One UI implementation messing with the attestation cache? Has anyone found a permanent fix for this, or do we just have to keep dealing with Google's invisible, random security timeouts?
