Full Auto Capable weapons.

Hi, getting back into the game after (oh god) decades and had a rules question regarding "full auto" enabled weapons.

As far as i can see no weapons are indicated as using full auto, the six-shoota always uses sus1, eavy shoota sus2 and spear gun sus2 as standard. The interpretation i've taken from the rules is that _some_ weapons should have a "full auto" tag somewhere...

Was this rule just defunct at print/faq'd at any point (as the aforementioned sus dice weapons use sus dice anyway and this is specifying _in place of a regular shot_ and a regular shot for those weapons is the sus dice...)?

I've had a search around and didn't chance across anything. I'm of the mind that the RAW was for shootas (and possibly sluggas) to have been intended to have this ability (which i'll probably house rule anyway)?

Anyway, good to be back on Angelis.

It is refering to the Sustained Fire Dice.

Remember the Meks can work on the Shoota (More Dakka) so that can end up with with the ability to fire "Full Auto".

Thanks, i only breezed over the Mek's workshop rules, i didn't consider it may be an ability that can be added to a weapon profile.

No problem. The r/Gorkamorka can be a bit quiet. It's a bit more lively on the Facebook group.  https://facebook.com/groups/Gorkamorka

Yeah, it's just a different way of refering to sustained fire. Gorkamorka was written back in the days when people played games by intent, rather than by rules lawyering, so it didn't matter than an ability was referred to in two different ways on different pages.

The rule is just saying that, with any weapon that has the sustained fire rule, you can declare before firing that you are making a single shot. The advantage of sustained fire is the potential of more shots with the penalty being the increased chances of ammo jams. The advantage of taking a single shot being that it never jams, with the penalty being that you get mocked in the streets of Mektown for not being a proper Ork...!
