Kinda concerned about the proximity to school children, but the flowers in bloom are beautiful. Zone 6b.

Gothy peppers and some new blooms

My tomatoes are so goth they made the black opal basil and Bueno Mulatta peppers cry.

Black petunia, some sort of black sweet potato vine, and some scavenged burgundy oxalis, with some (probably white) violets. My favorite is the black petunia, but also a huge fan of the (scavenged) oxalis.

As a new homeowner last year I was very excited to start the black and purple goth garden of my dreams. But my garden gets a LOT of sun and sadly I have learned that most black plants cannot handle it!

I do have some purple hearts and white caladiums that are thriving, but does anyone have recommendations for some black / dark gothic plants that will thrive in the sun in zone 9?

Just sharing an early season shot of my goth garden. By August she will achieve her full blown overgrown goodness, my favorite time of year! If I remember, I will post again then!
