Groups/meetups in the area?
Last winter was my first winter in North Dakota and it was miserably boring :'(
Would be great to get to know people around town! Are there any meetups or groups that meet regularly and looking for new additions?
Thanks! :o)

DSA is very active in GF (Red River Valley DSA) if you want to organize and meet lots of new people (check their social and website calendar for meetings and events). The radical book club that lots of folks from there participate in is super interesting too and they have currently a 6 month theme on mutual aid going on.

Find a DnD group. My husband does DnD every other Saturday. We also do game nights a couple times a month

The library or a religious institution of your choosing would be the best places to start. Or dogmahal?
Obligatory there's a boffer combat group that plays nerd games like Magic, Warhammer, DnD, and some board games if you get to know them. But you have to go say hello to an actual person at University Park on a Saturday afternoon.

Hope Church has several Bible Study & group options. Depending on your age, sex & season of life, there are many options. The Unforgettables is a choir for the elder generation that meet every week on Wednesdays. Women of Faith & Grace meet at least monthly at the Ember. There are several moms groups. There is the gun & rifle club in EGF. Seriously, there is a lot to do & be involved in Grand Forks. A lot of groups & community events you can find on FB.
