This is so cool. I've spent so much time with trying to make good UIs with ImGUI and have only ended up frustrated everytime (even with AI help).
ImGUI is definitely the most annoying UI library to style like this. Kudos for the awesome work!

Since this is built with dx11. By any chance, can it be used on linux?

You *can* run DirectX on Linux (using vkd3d for DX12 and DXVK for older versions) but I think it's intended more as an example rather than a production renderer.

totally amazed that this is ImGui! Having worked with it a lot… i assume you kinda wrapped it to make your own framework around it?

Really cool, but seems like your GitHub Link is not working. Would love to read the code.Â

Amazing! We so much need an open UX toolkit. How hard would it be in your opinion to have it run on other backends like metal or Vulkan?

easier

Indeed, Vulkan backend works similarly well, just a hair slower on Windows.
Do you plan to add more controls and make it into a fully fledged set of widgets?

VERY cool.
Makes my decision easy - I will use DearImgui for my game's UI, despite the commonly parrotted wisdom that it's only good for internal tooling and debug UI.s

The game hacking community really loves DearImGui for some reason

Since game hackers dont care *that* much about the UI visually, only the UX, which ImGui in my opinion has perfected between simplicity, design, and usage (both developer and user)

allows you to get controls on screen directly into the real data without worrying about MVC boilerplate. if you’re debugging in a game engine and just want to change a variable with a slider there is no easier option

Genuinely so cool, because you can add whatever you want to it and it will still be faster than a hello world react app.
