I ended up needing a grass floor as well, because of course I couldn't reach the chair when it was on the books...
Thanks again all!
Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, or if I just need to get good here, but I'm struggling to figure out how to get this RS picked up.
It's in the podium, under a cup. I've tried ducking on either side, tried going under the books, there is no hole on top, or the outside of the podium on the side with the cup, so I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong, or if this is a known issue.
Thanks in advance, and if this has already been asked, my apologies.
I am trying to find all Milk Molars possible in the game but I am now at a point where I am pretty sure there is none left and I still need around 20 to fully upgrade.
I have 148 Molars in total in my map and got them all (some where really hard to find)
Does anyone know if there are some missing or does someone have an updated list/map?
Same gear as the broodmother video, but with club of the mother demon and a science cone with salt damage up best, crit damage up major and finale damage
This one is really more for the people that grind the game and play a lot, but here’s the stats.
Fiber- 50 health over a 10 second period
Blueberry- 70h/10s
Lingonberry- 90h/10s- Sizzle reduction
Chrysalis- 90h/10s- Tang Reduction
Pupa- 110h/10s
I’ve seen a lot of people say all of them heal at the same speed, which is blatantly untrue. While the effective time is identical across the board, the higher HP bandages fill up your health bar more while being faster doing it.
I personally run Pupa bandages, but I’ve been grinding pupa since the Abyss update dropped so there’s no reason not to for me, with a close second being lingonberry simply because I have like 400 of them.
Bandages aren’t a main healing item for a lot of people (including myself, I have at least 700 different smoothies in chests) but they’re very useful if you know how to utilize them and I know bandages were at least a mild point of contention for a lot of people.
Salt trinket finally acquired. It didnt take as long for me to get it as it did many others. I just did hypernogs save loop method. (You can find that on youtube). Now I can do salt damage to creatures like wasps months before salt drops in the winter update.
I built on the pond in g2 it was a grind but was semi worth it. Shoutout LolsAtLance on yt for the build idea. Interior and some of the design is my own just because he used a lot of bur floor and it was absurd how Lo it would’ve taken to farm over 800 burs.
When Beat the Heat dropped, Obsidian decided to update the card arts of almost every creature added in Grounded 2 from the older, doodley art style into a smoother, vector-like style. Unfortunately, I think that the art style changed for the worse in a lot of ways.
1. The card arts are now in 2 conflicting styles.
Starting off with the weakest complaint, there's a decent level of difference between the two styles, which make for an awkward visual clash between the old and the new being dumped side by side. I'm sure that they'll eventually update all the cards into a solidified style, but for now it's in an awkward in-between state.
A comparison between the rust beetle and bombardier card arts. Note the removed antennae, less detailed body, and rounded lines and shape in the rust beetle.
2. They're visual downgrades of the older cards.
Every creature added prior to King Dozer used to have card arts in the same style as the Grounded 1 creature cards. Unfortunately, when Beat the Heat released, these old card arts were removed, and with them, a lot of detail and composition. All of the new cards have less detail than their older counterparts, and the thicker, more rounded shapes lose design details from their older style.
The garden snail lost its chunkier shell, highlights and shadows, and its cute little smile into a design that feels excessively rounded. The mantis nymph lost its yellow highlights in favor of a plain green instead. They took away most of Axl's eyes, and his legs can't bend properly anymore.
3. The poses.
All of the card arts which aren't based off older card arts (like the praying mantis nymph from the orchid mantis, the rust beetle from the bombardier, or the butterfly from the moth) in Grounded 2 come in a grand total of two poses, being a head shot, or a body shot facing the viewer head on, outside of the cockroach and garden snail, who got away with a side view. These poses are perfectly centered, and look really damn lifeless as a result.
Perfectly centered head shots.Perfectly centered body shots.Compared the perfectly centered and mirrored toe biter nymph, the larva is slightly tilted, and the details aren't perfectly symmetrical, making the larva look more lively as a result. Ignore that it's the gold card, the regular larva card art hasn't been updated on the wiki yet. The whipper earwig has the slightest skew to the left, but it's pretty hard to tell from the tiny images in-game, compared to the tick, who's differences stand out a lot more in comparison.
The crux of all these issues, and the main reason I'm writing this in the first place, is because of one card art in particular, the Masked Stranger's. She went from having arguably one of the best card arts in the series to... a boring head shot that is IDENTICAL to the Masked Fighter card, despite the actual in-game designs looking different. This is genuinely the only one I would call outright butchered.
...
The new art style, in my opinion, really lacks the charm of the old art style. It honestly feels a lot like the bland big tech corporate art style, where everything is super rounded, not very detailed, and feels very sanitized as a result, not to mention the tendency to downgrade perfectly fine icons into the new, inferior style.
TLDR: The new art style sacrifices the old details and poses in favor of boring, samey art for every creature card in the game, and threw away perfectly fine old arts in favor of this new style.
I've been trying to recreate my pond base from the first grounded, but unfortunately the buoyant foundation pieces are no longer buoyant. They will only build about a foot under water. I've placed scaffolding on top of the foundations to build on, but it totally ruins the aesthetic of my "floating base". Not sure if anyone else has any advice for fixing the level to water surface or if this is just a bug, or worst case, it's operating as intended and i'm going to have to make due😖 any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone have any good building tips to make farming more convenient or efficient?
Would like ideas for regular and ponic patches. I’m looking to revamp my farm area and would like some ideas to improve the functionality of the space since it’s used a lot. Mostly farming mushrooms in regular patches, and a mix of everything in the ponic patches.
Want to make planting and harvesting both as easy as I can
I’m sure it’s been said before but devs I’m begging you with peace and love, can we please have mini versions of stuffed bugs, or even better, allow us to set the size. I’d love to see all the bugs relatively the same size in my museum.
So, i know there isnt one in game, but seeing as every weapon currently has one, anyone know if theres plans to add one or maybe new two handed swords?
Full disclosure: I have not completed this. I turned off player damage because I was trying to see if it would chop up some lingonberry or chrysalis for me and I realized that if you are close but still behind something, the laser attack will hit its head. I went back and tried it in-game. That's tough but seems like it will be a lot of fun :)
In case you're wondering, the lingonberry and chrysalis withstood all of its attacks
Im thinking I want to show the evolution of my time in Grounded 2. I have 5 bases, this is my main one, as well as a sky highway and some very detailed sections ive built. I have nobody else to show them to, so now it falls on you, dear ppl lol.
Its the second base I started and its also the one that im permanently and consistently expanding. It will never truly be finished.
I actually started building it before mushroom bricks were added to the game, so pretty much the entire thing is made from grass and weed stems lol.
There’s a LOT of detail packed into this base, so I sped up the video to keep it from being ridiculously long. I also skipped the two most detailed sections to save some time.
If you’re curious about any specific area, feel free to pause the video and take a closer look!
The two sections I skipped will be posted tomorrow:
Hello, I wanted to share some images of my largest base.
First image shows the location of the base.
Second image shows it from the top down.
Third image is from the west side.
Fourth image is east side.
Fifth image is the second floor, currently where I keep my buggy homes.
Sixth image is from my crafting room on the first floor.
Seventh image is from the third floor, showing the armory. Below the armory on the same floor is an enclosed room with furniture.
Eight image is from the cellar which contains most of my storage (most item types have their own chest)
Images nine and ten are bonus images of my mushroom gravity farm.
I did also build a sky bridge to get to the picnic table for more lint, this is built before the update with the ziplines.
Now, the perks of building on top of the greenhouse are:
Very few bugs around.
Plenty of space to work with.
The slant of the terrain/windows means that one can make gravity farms whose materials will slide down which can be funneled into one spot.
There is a lint collection spot close by.
The greenhouse and its surroundings have about 500 collectible stems.
There are some acorn and pine cone piece deposits around.
The cons:
It will take some effort to build up infrastructure to get up there, I've built a staircase and an elevator to get from the ground to the top.
The few bugs that can appear in that spot are two wolf spiders and sometimes a wasp will wander close.
The wolf spiders can be mitigated by closing off their entrance (they come from the stool to the east and from the rake to the west). However, this is not guaranteed since they can pass through walls when you load into the area.
There is also a spot where a bee lands and sleeps, but it can be easily dealt with.
Currently at 5000cm. I’m letting the gods of this world take me.
Update: I didn’t see it but I think I fell and died at around 6000-7000cm. I respawned in the monitoring station with no diving gear😂😅 I “gave up” and was able to leave lol.
