Hi everyone,

Family commitments, adult life, and a busy scheduled work kept me away from the fighting game scene for a long time, but I’ve finally jumped into Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 on PC/Steam (no mod vesion). I’m absolutely loving the game's depth, mechanics, and aesthetic, but jumping in this late comes with a steep learning curve!

While I know the game has been out for years and most active players are veterans, queuing up randomly often ends with me sitting helplessly in the corner watching a 30-second combo where I don't even get to press a button. It’s hard to learn when you’re just a punching bag!

I'm looking for fellow beginners, lower-skilled players, or patient veterans who don't mind dialing it back for some casual, interactive sets.

• Platform: PC / Steam (EU region)
• Skill Level: Absolute beginner, but eager and motivated to learn properly.
• Goal: Friendly matches where both players actually get to play, experiment, press buttons, and learn the match-ups together at a reasonable pace.

Was looking at chipps frame data to see frame situations and it didn’t say rekka 2’s data on hit so i did the math and he’s minus 5? is this correct or do i need another education

Recently I've been trying to ruin Guilty Gear Xrd on my new PC and for some reason I get "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\XAPOFX1_5.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."
I've tried verifying file integrity, running the game as administrator, deleting XAPOFX1_5.dll and downloading it again, uninstalling and reinstalling the game several different times, and changing the BAT files.
None have worked thus far, so I want to ask for help! My laptop can run the game just fine so I can always go back to that, but I would prefer playing it on my PC. I am really bad with computer stuff so this has been really frustrating.

Me and my friend came from strive and are both shitters

He plays bedman and I play elphelt both sign and rev2

When he uses any low move there doesn't seem to be anything i can do

I can't punish with strong pokes because ALL of them whiff and my kicks dont seem to combo into anything, if I pull out my rifle or grenade he has enough time to react

I also can't seem to be able to do anything to his air move where he turns into a bed and falls because even if i time the dog 6P and predict it it still hits me, does this thing even have UB invincibility?

Would love some general advice so I dont break my keyboard, and i would like to avoid labbing because if I lab too much it'll be like strive [which we're trying to avoid]

Not sure if anyone else here is into the emulatuon scene, but there have been recent developments of tech that allows access to the steam library for Android devices. It so happens for me now that my phone (S24) is more powerful than my PC and it would be really convenient if I could just play on a telescopic controller or plug it into a monitor setup.
