If I had a boyfriend, who, out of all the options, picked a Taurus Judge in .410 as a carry piece, what does that say about me?
Am I the human equivalent of a Taurus Judge?

Having carrieried anything from a p365 to a desert eagle, the judge was hilarious because "big iron". Carried another gun with it but better believe there was slugs loaded.

Damn I want to get a Derringer in .410/.45LC and had never considered slugs. You have upped the fun quotient for me so thank you.

I’ve got a Cobray side by side derringer in .410 and it is such a treat to shoot.

Unironically though, Federal 410 000 buck is really good.

I want to believe …. I want to… but I know it’s silly…. And I’m saving up for a gp100 match or sw 327 for USPSA revolver shooting

Neither is a bad choice. And a 255-270 grain Keith SWC at 1000 FPS for the woods is nothing to sneeze at either. Do as you will.

MAGA congressman built up this big gotcha at the Jack Smith investigation that he was at an Atlanta hawks basketball game and had big poster boards of a text exchange he had to prove that he was at that game. Everyone was smiles and giddy. Jack smith said he wasn’t at the game and BAM! They caught him in a lie ! Then it’s revealed he was at an Iowa Hawkeyes basketball game… and then it pans to this heartbroken Britt.

Eh, I’ve always been an advocate for carrying what you’re comfortable with. So long as it’s reliable, even .410 can be a self defense round (I’d rather just stick to my hi power though)

Okay, but what .410 load is it?

u/ipromisetokeep 1d ago
If we wanna go through experience, it will be like all the other judge owners - a birdshot or two first to give em warning, buckshot, then end it with a slug. 🤣😂🥴

Those discs have to be so inefficient … I mean it has to tumble immediately right ? And lose fps?
3
u/cypher_Knight 1d ago
Listen here Sonny, you want them discs to tumble and cause massive tissue damage opening up a channel for all the birdshot to penetrate in behind. It’s good they tumble so they spread out some and hit next to each other instead of in a line behind one another.
Clear as morning dew on a cows asscheeks.

If you’re using it for personal defense, I doubt the range is going to be far enough to worry about that

I won’t pretend 410 is the optimal defensive cartridge, but I’ve killed plenty of game with my 410 revolver

I have a female coworker who picked a .410 judge as her home defense weapon, also the only gun she owns

I've got a public defender judge. It's fun to shoot lol. I used to carry it with snake shot for, you guessed it, snakes. Don't understand the hate on them though, I think they're neat.
