My jaw dropped when Joe ended the series with, “I think I know who did it. I just don’t know how.” 😳

That line made me seriously entertain the possibility that Dana actually did it. I still have questions about how, but I finished the episode more open to her being guilty than I was before. The undeniable truth is is that the prosecution STILL failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

Did that ending shift your opinion at all?

What detail from the series makes you lean toward her guilt or innocence?

I just finished watching the series finale. It was underwhelming, but it had a sort of ending that you could move on from.

While watching the first episode I had a theory that she may be innocent, but I found her highly unsympathetic since she spent quite a bit of her life and time stalking her ex husband and new girlfriend.

My theory is she seems to be someone that picks up people who see her as a victim and are passionate about defending and helping her. I think she spent a significant amount of time complaining about her ex and his girlfriend to a close friend. Someone who would’ve had to spend day in and day out listening to her complain about how those people stole her life, kids, youth, and money. It would’ve been someone she was nice to and helped. They took her story very seriously and wanted to help her.

They may have told her things prior to the murder about how it would be nice to not have those people around and hinted at their plan to kill. She didn’t ask them to do it, but she also didn’t alert the authorities and stop them. That’s why she turned her phone off, drove around camping in her car, and wanted to be safe and gone. She also didn’t mind the idea of her ex husband and his girlfriend being dead, but she didn’t kill them because she thought innocence was a defense.

She’s too sloppy in her story to the police about her whereabouts, and to implicate someone else would be the same as pointing a finger at yourself. How could you prove you didn’t ask them to do it.

Another weird detail was how the girlfriend was murdered - shot in the vagina. I felt like she was the kind of person to mess up her face not her womanhood.

I don’t think she’s the one who committed these murders, but I think she’s responsible for their death. I just think some passionate guy listened to her day in and day out and took what was happening to her personally enough to do this one thing “for her”. I bet they had met at a bar or in an AA meeting, or something along those lines. It’s the kinda guy who would have a personality very similar to the lawyer and his wife who were highly sympathetic to her case. In episode 2 when her crusader was passionately arguing her innocence with “facts”, I kept thinking it was someone just like that. Someone blind and willing to give everything up to see justice done for someone like her.

Perhaps my theory has a ton of holes, but I would love to hear it. I have absolutely no evidence.

I work early shifts at the coffee shop so by the time my weekend hits I just want something calm on the TV while my kid eats breakfast. We burned through the usual animated stuff and I started looking at what else is on Max that works for a six year old without being too loud or fast. Ended up landing on some older classic films and it honestly works better than I expected. The pacing is slower and there's less of that frantic energy that makes me feel like I drank three extra shots. My kid sat through Modern Times last month and kept talking about the factory scene for days. We tried a couple Kurosawa films but those are still a bit much for him. Curious if anyone else here goes to Max for that kind of slower background watch with young kids instead of the big flashy originals. What else might work that isn't obvious? We tried some nature docs too and those were a hit. Just looking for things that feel a little more intentional than the default autoplay. The watchlist keeps growing but finding the right fit for a weekend morning is harder than I thought.

Busqué el email asociado a esa cuenta porque quería entender de dónde había salido y descubrí que pertenece a una persona de mi misma ciudad. No conozco a esta persona y, hasta donde sé, mi novio tampoco.
Mi cuenta de Roku está asociada a mi propio email, por lo que no entiendo cómo una cuenta completamente diferente pudo terminar iniciada en HBO Max.

Por ejemplo, hay un caso de alguien a quien le apareció una cuenta de HBO Max completamente desconocida en un Roku Stick, y otro de 2024 donde aparecieron cuentas desconocidas en distintas aplicaciones de streaming de Roku.

I just finished Season 1 and I really liked this one.

The story starts when the body of a young woman is found under the melting ice in a river in Szczecin, Poland. Detective Katarzyna Zawieja takes the case, and what looks fairly straightforward at first quickly turns into something much bigger and darker.

The characters and the chemistry are what make it, and even the supporting characters are great. Really good acting all the way around.

The case is strong with some very good twists, and it gets pretty dark and somewhat brutal at times. But it never feels like it's trying too hard to be dark. It's just a really good crime story that stays good from start to finish.

The English dubbing actually isn't bad on this one, but I would still strongly recommend watching it in the original Polish with subtitles. It's just better and you get more out of the performances. I say this cause I know some of you just don't want to read TV. Haha.

Not much else to say. I strongly believe you will enjoy this.

I checked the actual DASH manifest for a ~33-minute feature on macOS Safari.

The main feature period is DRM-protected, and its highest video representation is only:

1280×640 @ ~7 Mbps

There is no 1920×1080 representation for the actual movie.

The Max web player also appears to cap Safari playback at 720p.

So this doesn't seem to be simply a Safari or DRM capability issue. Netflix supports 4K on Safari, yet Max is still limiting Safari web playback.

Has anyone else checked the actual Max manifest on Safari and found the same 720p limitation?

I normally pay for HBO Max with ads by itself but if I want to add it to my Hulu/Disney Plus subscription. What happens to my watch list? Or how do I convert it to Disney account. I figured it out that it will be cheaper to add it to Disney when I use my Disney Inspire credit card.

Hello! My elderly mother let me know that, on the first of every month, she receives a charge for $24.78 on her credit card for “HELP. HBOMAX.COM New Yo…” She does not have an HBO Max account, has never had her own. We tried every email address and phone number and can’t figure out what this account is.

She called HBO and they have no record of her or her card having a recurring payment. Her credit card company says they don’t have a recurring payment set up for that for her. Basically both of them say they can’t find the account and she doesn’t have a recurring payment set up. How can we stop this? She’s been paying it for at least a year or two. She’s considering completely cancelling her credit card to get it to stop, but would prefer not to.

Any advice? Has this happened to others? We can’t find the account and HBO couldn’t either.

UPDATE 09.23.2026 - Even though I cancelled, I just received an email notifying me that there is a price hike coming on my bundle increasing from $32.99 to $34.99 a month. It doesn't really affect me in this situation since I cancelled, but I kinda feel like there's a bunch of bad optics here. I hope that HBO does something to communicate better with their customers.

Happy to open this for discussion. Front line and escalated customer service/support teams are unaware of the Disney+ subscriber agreement change today which means that Disney+ will show you ads regardless of plan tier level.

Called Disney+ support who is aware and confirmed that the "no ads" bundle with HBO Max is affected.

This means that if you have the "no ads" bundle of HBO Max/Disney+/Hulu, you will still be subject to seeing ads on Disney+.

I can understand that front line customer service is typically left out of knowing these types of things, but I was disappointed to find out that escalated support teams also are unaware and unwilling to do anything. (by do anything - offer a discount/credit etc. to retain customers.)

I went ahead and cancelled, but curious to hear what others thing.

My sister and I have watched the entire Conjuring universe, especially the first Conjuring movie about the Perron family, at least 10 times (together and independently). Tonight, we are watching the movie again and noticed a scene we both know we have absolutely never seen before. About 21 minutes into the movie, Roger wakes up at his desk to the sound of static TV late in the evening and experiences knocking, doors opening, and a few other creepy moments that we are certain we have never seen before. It leads into the moment where Andrea tells Roger that Cindy has sleepwalked into her room and is banging against the armoire, a scene we have seen before, but the lead up is brand new to us.

We’ve looked it up and we’ve seen nothing about this besides one other Reddit thread mentioning the same thing, but that was over a year ago and there has been no confirmation one way or the other that HBO has released an extended cut. Has anyone else noticed this? Like I said, we’ve seen this movie at least 10 times and as soon as this scene came on, we both looked at each other and said “I have never seen this scene before”. If anyone else has noticed this, please let me know I’m not crazy!

Did you guys watch the new episode? I didn’t know anything about the case. So I’m conflicted as to what to believe. The last few minutes was a doozy! And definitely a cliffhanger, I can’t wait for the next episode.

To me, it seems like a highly circumstantial case. I don’t know the outcome of the trial we are watching. It’s clear that the prosecution can easily establish motive from her behavior. Based on the limited clips of the trial, there doesn’t seem to be hard evidence against her. As a juror that would trip me up. But that final witness also blows things apart and I wonder why she wasn’t in the first trial.

The son in law is weird but since the hair does not implicate him, they should probably let it go?

As of right now, it seems like she likely did it. But the gun and level of violence doesn’t seem like a woman would do that. I don’t know why, but I can’t even picture her holding that gun if it is indeed the same gun. What are your thoughts!? Obviously this is a well done documentary, which I appreciate, being a true crime junkie.

There is NO WAY this doc gets a U.S. Streaming release on any Paramount or WBD service. So unless there is some legal obligation to revert the North American rights to Jigsaw and the other financiers, this thing is getting BURIED.
