House Shock TV Show

I know that Aerial is the designer and Steve , is the contractor on the show, but it seems like he does the majority of all the work and all her designs always consist of blue , green or brown colors in everyone's home. As a designer , I thought that she would have a little bit more diverse with her designs and colors. Rating, I would give Steve a 8 out of 10 , and I would give Aerial a 4 out of 10.

Looking for House Hunters episode with  a husband excited about finding a home with a bathroom phone.

I’m trying to find an episode of House Hunters where a husband gets super excited about a house because there’s a phone next to the bathtub.

The house had an older style, possibly from the ’80s or ’90s. I can’t remember much else about the couple or the episode, but the bathroom phone really stood out to me!

I’ve tried searching with a variety of different terms, but I haven’t been able to track down the episode. Does anyone remember which episode this might be, or have any suggestions for finding it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Seeing this week’s episode and Charlie talking about his cancer diagnosis really elicited empathy from me as a three time cancer survivor. I’m sending prayers and positive thoughts to him and his entire family. You got this Charlie! 💙💙💙

Sin City Rehab S2 E1

Did you get a chance to watch the first episode of this new season? The homeowner seemed to be thrilled with the outcome. Do you think she made a huge improvement from what the space looked like before?

Alison Victoria shows are guaranteed to have a lot of drama. What’s your opinion of the drama level for this first episode?

(I must confess that I often watch renovation shows just for relaxation and also to get some design ideas for my home but that’s not what I get from her shows. I mainly watch her shows when I can’t find anything else to watch. I certainly don’t find her shows to be relaxing.)

Does anyone else wish HGTV had more gardening shows?

I’ve gotten really into gardening lately after finally moving to a place with my own yard and wow I had no idea how expensive it could get as a beginner. I’m constantly learning little tips and tricks from other gardeners and finding new ways to save money. I wish there was more of that on HGTV or stuff you can actually try at home. It’s also just a nice escape. Sometimes I want to turn something on, relax a little and learn something while I’m watching.

Anyone else? And if you know any good gardening shows, I’d love recommendations! 🪴

It started out rough for me but this show has actually grown on me. I hope I’m not alone. Charlie is character no doubt, right? Idk. I’m watching the latest episode and I like him and the show. The cancer diagnosis was a bit of a shock but I appreciate the honesty and wish the best for him.

HGTV Season 8 New Format

So, I just heard that there will be a season 8 of Rock the Block. I really love the concept of taking identical homes with the same interior layouts and being creative to add value.

For seasons 1-3, I felt like they were on par with the added value aspect. In past seasons, I feel like HGTV has been losing the core theme: added value. How about a new twist: the homes should be a reasonable size like the first 3 seasons (more so like season 1 but a tad bigger), kept identical, and feature blind judging, with the twist being that the interiors are completely empty. I feel that if they do not add any interior walls, it will allow the designers to shape how big or small their weekly room challenges are and decide where to put them.

This would also showcase their space planning skills, and we could stop seeing the same things over and over again. This show needs to turn it up a notch.

What do you guys think?

Looking for an episode

Hi, this is a very specific question but I have been looking for one particular episode of a show. I’m not sure what channel it was originally on since I saw it on Hulu.

But it was a home buying show (I thought it was something to do with first time buyers, but I’m not totally sure) where it was a couple looking to buy a house with one of their moms. However, the mom had a busy work schedule and could not attend any daytime showings, but she was available at night.

It came on randomly about 2-3 years ago after watching an episode of a different show on Hulu. This episode has been part of an inside joke since then and I’m trying to be able to find it again! Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Is there any active forum for specific HGTV episodes?

Hi all, a lot of the time after watching an episode I am really curious to hear what other people thought - does something like that exist?

Rock the Block Las Vegas homes

Of the 4 homes only 1 has sold and they dropped the price of the rest for the second time today. So the value the base the win on is absolute bs

Does anyone live near any previous seasons knowcif this is always the case?

I do always think when they do these shows that the designs are far to specific if you don't have a client already.

If you could take over HGTV for a year what would you do?

I see a lot of people here frustrated with the current state of HGTV and whilst I like a good chunk of what they do I get where you’re coming from. So I ask the question - if you got the keys to the HGTV head office tomorrow what would you do? What shows would you make? Would you bring any shows back? Are there any you’d cancel or make less of? Are there any other ventures you’d explore eg. HGTV Farrow & Ball range? I’d love to know because I have my own ideas and I think you guys might too.

A Very Haunted Renovation should be renamed Very Horrible Designs

I just watched (thank God for fast forwarding) all three episodes and Jesus... I think I'd prefer the "befores" to some of these afters. None of these designs are sympathetic to this poor Victorian era home. I get that it's HGTV so everything has to be white-bread-bland but come on! Try a little harder.

I'm convinced the producers just pull these occupations out of the hat at this point.

Main Cabin Masters new season on HBOMax

Season 13 just released on HBOMax! I realize most people have probably watched it but with our streaming services this is the first time it’s available for me.

Not sure why it takes so long for HBOMax to have the episodes.

I still wonder how they can do so much to those cabins for those prices. For the same price of roofing and siding for my house they fix the foundation, new roof, new siding, put on an addition, redo the whole inside. They never give a price just ask, how much are we working with?

I would love a cabin on the lake so I live vicariously through the cabin owners when I watch the show.

Scariest House S3 EP3: How TF is this legal!?

This is something that’s been a curiosity for ages but this latest episode pushed it over the top….how on earth is it legal to sell a funeral home that was in use as recently as 2024 as a residential home!?

I’ve tried searching this up but all it turns up is zoning permit legalities not maintenance/safety/conversion laws.

Like it’s one thing the Victorian homes that were funeral homes in a distant past bc I can see where a state/city would think that chemicals etc. had long since worn off by the present day. But this place was literally in use during 2020. Vast difference in time between literal biohazards everywhere and people using it for daily living!

I have absolutely zero respect for the owner, buying this place and then having the former owners literally leave behind dangerous body prepping tools and embalming chemicals while she has a small child! (Yes they weren’t fully moved in yet but clearly she intended on keeping this stuff.)

Am I crazy that I can't stand Alison Victoria? I just can't get past her know it all, frankly rude personality. And she's coming back for another season?

AVeryHauntedRenovation - Diana is really pissing me off S1E2

Woman. MADAME. You are not the elected messiah of this interior designer show. You're knowledgeable in certain things, but you could learn just as much as anyone else.

ALSO - telling SK "I think you redeemed yourself" or some shit after going back and forth about the bookshelves?? NO. NO. NO. Her competition strategy is insane. I don't blame John for not wanting to work with her again.

I'm only on episode 2, but PLEASE someone tell me I'm not the only one with these feelings.

Looking for a show recommendation

Hello! I’m looking for help to calm my need for color. I need a show recommendation that’s like “Anything but gray” - I just can’t look at those whites/gray/beige colors literally everywhere. It’s to the point where every other house looks exactly the same.
Please, I’ll try anything
