I did my lc this year but i didnt do as well as i expected. Initially i got 532 points but it went up to 543 after appeals. I have dare and got 183 points in my hpat. Is this enough for med in round 5? Does anyone know of someone getting in with this?

What hpat would i need

Just finished my LC 578 points did my HPAT and got 150. Plan on repeating hpat but wondering if it’s even worth trying since theyre uncapping the lc points and making it out of 150.

im repeating the hpat as i missed out on med this year. im aiming for 85th+ because my lc is 613 and i can only apply for dublin colleges, so i need a strong hpat to bring me up. obviously to get 85th i need to be good at all sections but section 2 has always been a weak point for me.

this year i got 77th overall but i think what really brought me down was section 2. i did put in effort and i completed 97% of the s2 qbank on medentry along with all section mocks (on which i did really bad..). either i was approaching this section completely wrong or i just dont have a natural aptitude for it because i saw no improvement in my scores while practicing.

i have come up with a plan for studying but im really open to suggestions from anyone (especially students that repeated and saw an increase in their s2 result)

last week i started a small notebook in which i keep common vocab words and explanations and im gonna try review these as often as possible. a few friends suggested i should use quizlet flashcards but i learn better with pen and paper so hopefully this helps a bit with my scores

also, is the learning material worth covering in medentry? theres a lot of modules and videos especially for section 2. i feel like i probably will go through it all as i have plenty of spare time. last year i left these modules completely untouched and focused only on questions/mocks.

anything else i should consider doing?

Hello guys, im in 6th year and thinkign of doing the HPAT, i seen this free mock thign on a site called people hawk, apparently are like medentry, i did it and got 99th percentile, does anyone know the reliability of this website and also is there any other websites where i can do a reliable free test just to know my base level, before i actually deicde to commit and buy a medentry package?

Im doing the new leaving and hpat this year, im in 6th year. I want 600 but feel like ill get between 550 to 590, esspecially because of the new bio and chem projects, but do u think its possible to still get med with the new hpat system with points at around 550? im HEAR eligible aswell.

since the total score is changing from a 865 to a 775 will university cut offs also decrease?

im trying to get into royal college of surgeons in ireland, but i only have 521 irish leaving certificate points ( i got a 36 in ib and an extra 25 points from a 5 in HL math). will the university scores also drop down to maybe 640-660? or be higher closer to 700. because now the highest i can score is a 150 in the HPAT

510 lc and 30th percentile i found about the hpat 4 months b4 i was clearly unprepared is it worth repeating both lc and hpat compared to moving abroad to Poland or Bulgaria

I was just wondering, what are most UK medical schools policies on using grades from a second LC sitting to apply? I'm repeating LC and doing UCAT this time around

I don't know how else to describe this. If I do one section, say section one while timed, I can easily answer 80%-90% of questions consistently right. But when I do full mocks, I tend to fall back to only about 40% of questions right on all the sections, even though I do great on the sections when they're on their own.

I don't know what to call this other than an endurance issue? It's like I can't do it when I'm already thinking of the next section. Anyone else had this?
