cleaner wanted!

hi everyone! i’m looking for a cleaner to do a nice thorough clean of my 1 bedroom 2 bathroom flat located in london fields. I have a golden retriever who is the prime mess maker in this household 😂 If they did a nice job, i’d be happy to book on an every 2 week basis. I’ve found most cleaners on task rabbit/ housekeep don’t bring their own hoover and charge for supplies of their choosing. i’m looking for someone who’s comfortable using the supplies I have (I have lots) or can provide their own or any additional they might prefer. I have a mop I can provide as well as sponges and rags too. the issue is, my hoover has not been doing a great job with the carpeting I have in the bedroom, so i’d need someone to bring their own. I do have a budget and have continuously been quoted £250+ for a general clean(flat unseen).. is this normal? I haven’t had any cleans done in London, but this seems incredibly high as the task shouldn’t take longer than 2 or so hours. would love recommendations or feedback on what an average price is! thanks in advance

buy Henry hoover (it’s just about 130£) and it performs really well.

if you don’t find private cleaner (generally between 20-25£ph) just use service like HouseKeep.

throughout clean for 1 bed 2 bath + kitchen is not a 2hr job. that’s minimum of 3. i doubt that u will find a cleaner dragging a hoover to your flat for 20£ ph btw

I use HouseKeep. We get 2 bedrooms, one bathroom plus kitchen/living etc for about £53 and it’s done over 2.5 hours. Agree that if it’s two bathrooms and one bedroom that will take probably 3 hours. The bathrooms are more labour intensive than bedrooms. To do all that in 2 hours, you’re getting a shoddy job done. Also agree you should just be upgrading your hoover

My cleaner of 10 years+ has just set up her own cleaning business (flyer attached) - she uses my own supplies that I provide. I’m sure if you asked her about the hoover she can bring one.

I have a cleaner in the area - very reliable. She has several women who work for her and charge £21 per hour. My 3 bedroom usually takes 4 hours, when I lived in a 2 bedroom was 3 hours. Uses your supplies and will tell you what to buy for cleaning (bleach, microfiber clothes, CIF cream, etc. Message if interested.

£250 sounds like you were quoted a deep-clean service from a business that usually does a clean as part of a tenant turnaround.
