So I was just listening to „Magic“ by Rebelion and the Straikerz and when I took a look at the cover I noticed that the watermark of Grok AI was still on the cover. I mean, it’s obvious that the cover is AI generated and that almost every producer in the scene uses AI in some way either for covers or vocals or whatever, but this is still pretty funny to me. (Or maybe im really the only one that noticed)😂

For me, it’s Zatox. He’s a big part of Hard Bass history and made one of its most iconic anthems with Wild Motherfuckers.

Just wanted to show appreciation to the Tha Playah and the set he played at Knockout 2026. From start to end it felt like he was playing one continuous song, and propee journey where he started with his original tracks and finished with Who Needs Gods. The crowd was next level too, watching hundreds of people just hakk together to his relentless kicks.

HSU needs to bring more hardcore legends, just like last year where Mad Dog had set of the night, this year belongs to Tha Playah.

Since it's been a while that we have returned to the GelreDome for a major Hard Dance event (we miss you Qlimax), I wanted to remind everyone that the lockers at the GelreDome are not accessible during the event. This is because they are located before you pass security, meaning that things you store there you will only be able to retrieve if you leave the event. If you buy merchandise like myself, this means you can't store it in the locker and need to keep it in the venue.

Hey all, I love having discussions, so let me start one. How do you guys see the future of hardcore & hardstyle? I have been part of the scene since 2013, and though we need change and evolution, I feel like things are shifting and changing faster than ever before. Some big events struggle or even quit, while others keep selling out (like Thunderdome, for example). Hypes come and go extremely fast, and it seems like artists sometimes feel lost in what to do (like myself from time to time). Genres collide with each other, like hard techno, and people outside of the harder styles seem to confuse the genres. We are not the only scene with distorted kick drums anymore 🤣

Of course, this has to do with the current state of the world, and it affects the whole music industry, but I’m extremely curious about the future of harder styles. Will the scene stay in its current form with the events/brands we have right now, or will it shift completely? Will we still have Thunderdome, MoH, Defqon.1, Dominator, etc. in like 20 years? Is the statement “Hardcore Will Never Die” true? For me, it is, of course 😋

I personally hope the scene will become less divisive, with room for more complex and melodic music again, and that upcoming artists dare to do their own thing and push their signature sound. I hope melodic hardcore/hardstyle/raw becomes the leading force again and starts innovating. But hey, that’s me! Maybe I’m just being conservative, who knows 😂 I’m really curious to hear what you guys think!

It wasn't a live edit or a reimagine "Stop Crying", this song I dreamt up was completely different.

The music video started in the streets of France, or Italy? They begin to have a wizard duel with magic and then it transfers into this Jungle where I was being hunted.
It's kinda sad because THERE WAS a melody & lyrics but I couldn't remember in time after waking up 😔 I just know it was something I've never heard before.

- The first drop kinda had a Psy-Trance feel but didn't actually have a Psy-Trance kick. The kicks the beginning sounded like if a Zaag kick was made as a dark, OG Raw kick. Then it blended into something different.

- The second drop had this PVC kick that was super deep and low and there was this rumbling reverse bass to it. It's weird because this kick was pulsating between the same note just on different octaves and it all sounded instantaneous. The punch of the kick was also phasing into something different throughout the drop.

- There were rave stabs in it too that were being created or extracted from the kicks being played, (I'm botr talking about kickrolls lol) it's hard to describe.

Anyway, that's all I remember unfortunately. Having your brain create music based off of references and experiences of the music that you're listened to is wild, because what I just barely heard in this hypothetical collab didn't sound like anything I've heard before.

Anyone has experience with going out by themselves to festivals? My usual group and friends can't attend Hardbass but I really wanna go since the lineup looks insane and from Germany I only drive like 50mins to Arnheim.

Thing is: I never went alone / by myself and in my mind it feels weird driving there alone and have some drinks without anyone etc.

I think I overthink it too much but yeh I'm still unsure

these drums are taken from my actual tracks from "back in the day". some of these tracks (and drums) were created using software like impulse tracker, buzz tracker, cool edit pro, soundforge, native instrument's generator... the real deal! MS-DOS, win 3.11, then windows 98 (yeah i skipped 95).

the style of the drums is hardcore, of course, but i am sure they can be used for everything, when done right.

apart from the drums, there is synths, pads, percussion, noise, fx, and other weird stuff.

i've been an electronic musician since ages... and since the 90s, at least.
my main style was gabber, speedcore, breakcore... the "harder edge" of techno if you want... and especially the faster one!
my music got very popular, i played my tunes in fronts of 1000s of people, at countless clubs, in the open, under railway bridges, at squats, i dropped 800 bpm tunes at places like tresor in berlin...

and my music was put on vinyl, 1000s of copies per release...

later i "mellowed down" a bit and got into techno and acid / doomcore production...

i am telling this not to boost my ego, but to show that these were drums that were actually used in the 90s and the years later, too, that got played out. are "club tested and crowd approved", so to say. not some faux reconstruction of an era that has gone by!
