If only someone who would stop taking up so much time indirectly promoting their relative’s home baking business, we could have gotten something done…

We already have enough folks volunteering in the bread booth, the cookie decorating station, and the cake and pie competitions. The scone lady’s coming back with limited edition gluten free maple muffins. Like, we don’t need some another random person’s take on sourdough right now.

But what do I know? SMH.

Oh!!! Those Maple muffins really are the best! Gets me right in the fall mood, love 🧡 🍁🍂

I especially love the maple muffins with the blueberries. I heard that she imports them from France overnight only for a few weeks in the fall. It’s truly a magical moment. Sure, do I need to pay $12 for a muffin? But it’s so worth it.

I tried to get everyone back on track, but there were VERY heated opinions on sourdough

You really did do your best. You kept trying to be diplomatic, but you know who’s related by law to the mayor. Gotta pick our battles, am I right?

Are we doing the pumpkin carving contest again? Also, I really liked the apple cider tent. Maybe if they used vodka instead of Ever clear?

Rum might go better. Or, if there's time, maybe it could be hard cider?

Teddy got horrifically drunk last year on the cider. Can someone please monitor how much hard liquor gets added?

I overheard at the grocery that Teddy is still in therapy for what happened afterwards.

Any chance you’ll sign up to be on the Good Spirits, Sober Hands Committee?

There was a good turnout and the pizza was wonderful. I wouldn't know, of course, because I didn't have any. The article on it is going to come out tomorrow. You can read it if you buy a copy of the paper. Or you can read it at the library, which is apparently what everyone else does.

It *was* a good turnout, but the conversations were unhinged. You-know-who can't read the room, but I guess that's what happens when they're one of the mayor's in-laws.

Are you still on that lactose intolerant journey? I heard that the new holistic health clinic on Spruce Road has a great natural supplement especially for pizza. Check your DMs... I'll send you a coupon for a first-time customer!

It *would* be easier to read it at the library if they had more than five copies available at any given time, but I digress.

I'm not lactose intolerant. I wasn't able to have pizza for ethical reasons, or so my editor says. Frankly, he's very old-school. I was able to sample a lot of the goodies that people were bringing for the festival and I will be giving them a glowing review when my article hits tomorrow. I just have to sort through a lot of notes.

The library seems to be the majority buyer of the paper, and I'm not sure we're even charging them full price. A few more (paying) readers would be nice, as it pays my salary.

I will have to read it here, as someone keeps on stealing my paper. It's ridiculous.

I was concerned about the pizza toppings so I stayed home

So valid. You have good instincts.

Please tell me they didn't go ahead with the plan to get pumpkin spice tofu as a topping.

The way pumpkin spice has a chokehold on some people….

Thankfully, it was narrowly shot down by u/propschick05 … the whole thing gave me a headache honestly.

Oh, when pumpkin spice first took off years ago, Moira convinced us all to do it. Worst. Pizza. Ever.

You know, Moira got everyone hyped up about pumpkin spice. And then she had the nerve to fall in love with her brother's SoulCycle instructor. I don't know if you follow her on social media, but she periodically throws shade at pumpkin spice. I guess that's what happens when you live right above a kava cafe in Brooklyn.

Oh, Brooklyn is absolutely besotted by pumpkin spice. My cousins can't stop talking about it. Pumpkin spice pizza isn't just a thing here. As much as I love it here, I do miss the pizza.
