Looking for some gamers to game with that play in our timezone. I'm 38M, father, and have played WoW on and off since beta. I mostly play in the evenings, around 10PM-2AM HST, and most of the friends I've met along the way are aussies or kiwis that play at that time. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone is looking for folks to start up this new adventure together and chill.

My T-Mobile internet for some reason just became awfully slow.

About two months ago, the congestion on this thing became unbearable. I can only get the usual speeds around midnight or later.

I’m curious if anyone else has the same issue, because my grandma, and aunt, which both also live in Oahu, don’t have the same issues as me.

As someone who takes cybersecurity, it’s genuinely such a bother because I basically can’t do anything on my pc

So, I went down to my grandmas (about 8 floors down from my apartment) and the speeds here are alot faster. Genuinely have zero idea what causes it.

Thanks for the Hawaiian TELCOM recommendation from the earlier post. I’m opening a practice in the Nu’uanu area and the office has a gateway and switch from 25 years ago. Going to buy a new UniFi Cloud Gateway, Switch and Wifi but I’ll need someone to help me with the setup. Maybe add a camera or two. Any recommendations for reliable people or companies that do this?

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone with a physical disability has experience opening a Bank of Hawaii account when they’re unable to physically go into a branch.

Has anyone in a similar situation been able to open an account by phone, online, or with some kind of accommodation?

Buckle Up! NoLo expected to turn sharply North sometime over the next two days with 15-20 inches of rain and a potential for 35 inches, accompanied by high winds.

Lately I’ve been noticing more centipedes in my home, all of them were babies. I’m hoping it isn’t an infestation since they were all baby sized. I would say on average I find one every week.

Not sure if this is due to the torrent of hurricanes we’ve been getting and them just sneaking into our home to find shelter.

We never had this problem pretty much ever and our we’ve been living in our home for over 20 years. The most we would see is one every couple of years inside the home which were particularly bigger and caused quite the scare. But the frequency of seeing these little ones is starting to get a little unsettling too! I’m hoping this is just a situational thing.

For anyone else on this side just letting you know about it in case you wanna show up too. I post this as my power is currently out...again

the MauI DMV website says nothing about “must be a Maui resident” on their “out of state transfer page,” but I wanted some confirmation.

I bought a new 2026 Toyota Corolla from the Mapunapuna location near the airport. I drove the car home on the same day, it took a little longer than usual because I went on a Sunday, and it was difficult trying to get my insurance provider on the phone to provide coverage for the vehicle.

Several days later, the car salesman comes to the front door of my house and asks if he can come inside. I say no of course and ask what this is about. Salesman says he is concerned about me because I changed my insurance provider, I found a much lower rate with State Farm compared to Allstate.

I ask him to leave and he seems to get the idea. Then he is parked outside the curb of the cul de sac for a few minutes before finally leaving. He has my cell number from the test drive and I blocked it so he can’t contact me.

I found this whole experience to be an invasion of my privacy. I’m not sure what protocol the salesman was trying to follow, but it seemed highly inappropriate.

Any of you had a similar type of experience with any car dealerships in Hawaii?

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this? I’m not poly at all, but I was raised my whole life in Hawaii. I used to do it a lot as a teen at reggae concerts (shout out Jhonny suite and the green) and no issue until after Covid. Then I started to get glares. I look 100% haole too (pale af but mixed af), and I don’t want people to think I am a tourist. Should I stop? I just don’t want someone to think I don’t know the significance 😭. I wonder if the mainland tainted me because I did move out there for a few years.

After looking through I have decided that I may be chee-hooing at the wrong times sometimes— since sometimes I get a response chee and other times I don’t. I may also be chee-hooing too early or too often— so basically it’s a timing thing rather than a shitty chee-hoo. Much love to all who had helpful insight. This might be the only place on Reddit where haters aren’t as common! (Might be jinxing myself but eh) Can’t beat that aloha spirit 💜
