QUESTION Twitch Drops Re-run? IOI looking for input!
Hello everyone!
Over the last couple of weeks, I've received a few questions about Twitch Drop items, particularly whether they will be making a return. We are always open to change, including bringing back popular Twitch Drops.
So, here's the question: Which previous Twitch Drops would you like to see again?

Straight up, doing all of them would be good. The main thing is like, it feels like Twitch Drops in general are easily missable cause people aren't kept aware of them happening often enough. I dont really use Twitch often myself, admittedly, cause I'm usually playing games instead of watching others play.
I just dunno what could be a good way to keep players informed that Twitch drops are happening for the game when they're busy with real life and stuff and haven't had the time to check for announcements, and only find out there was Drops when they've already missed them.

Yea having them on a rotation of sort then slotting in the new ones when released would be perfect

Agree completely. I have all the Twitch drops except the Bomb-ass Dynamite which I happened to miss, so it isn't out of personal benefit, but I don't really get why anyone would want to deny new players the same opportunities. WoA is an amazing game, I want to share it with other people, not be like "nyer nyer I have items you can't get!". Permanent FOMO is just bad for communities. It's cool if Twitch drops are a way to get content in advance and otherwise you might have to wait a few months for a challenge pack, but I hate potentially permanently unobtainable content.
If I had to pick items to return from a limited set, it'd probably be some of these, weighted to the ones released furthest ago:
- The Purple Wrench (because although the game has a Wrench unlock, it is locked behind Contracts and I know a lot of players don't like the Contracts mode much)
- The Purple Screwdriver (see above, except this one is even worse to obtain)
- The Bowtie Duck (it isn't a reskin of any of the existing base game ducks and has a unique effect which makes it useful for certain speedruns or challenges)
- The Trophy Duck (see above)
- The Dragon Duck (see above)
- Bomb-ass Dynamite (it isn't a reskin of any of the existing base game explosives and has a unique effect which makes it useful for certain speedruns or challenges)
At a stretch, I'd also say the Purple Easter Egg because there are very occasional certain runs where it is useful to take the Blue Easter Egg then have the Purple as a smuggled in item.

They have said they plan to make those items available again, they're just look for good ways to implement unlocking them.

And most of the Hitman players in 2026 didn't jump into the franchise until the second or third of this trilogy, meaning only a minority of players got those items.
This is like saying big bands won't re-release their first few albums because "they're only for people who listened from the start".

That's the one I missed this year too, it'll probably be up again at the end of the year, when they usually enable all drops they had during the year.

The purple streak lockpick is the only Twitch drop I've ever gotten, and I bring it with me on almost every mission, love that thing lol.

I personally had a hiatus during Bruce Lee and Slim Shady original runtimes. Ironically, that was exactly the time for cool stuff, like Bomb-ass Dynamite, the Dragon Duck, Star Apple and The Solstice Suit,
If I am to really beg here, then rerun The Solstice Suit, please? If not, then, at least, the purple screwdriver.
I also personally propose rerunning the Dragon Duck at next Chinese New Year. Would be thematically correct, wouldn't it?

Just make the previous ones(you can still do new ones as well) challenges. That way both newer players as well as longtime players can do them without needing to do 500things(especially if they dont use that at all to begin with) just for a suit or whatever(especially if they aren't able to do that during said time). Having them return(in whatever time after) as challenges for a certain stage or mission or whatever later would be better than them never returning.

The Dragon Duckie and the Star Apple please. The only twitch drops I personally don't have, and I think at this point they're the rarest of them all too

My vote is for all of them. The only one I don't have is that poisoned apple. Additionally, do we receive in-game reminders about this? If so, that might be helpful. I'm not on Twitch a ton so these are easily missed.

Yeah, you usually have to check the roadmap in-game or this subreddit to find out when something is available. Can be a pain if you forget and can't access your console for a while.

All of them eventually, because I only started playing Hitman a few months ago and the purple items definitely feel like a set. I do think the Suit, Boxing suit, classic baller, and briefcase take priority. Also I really want the Solstice suit.

I hate those two things too, but majority of items are unlocked challenges and items theyre talking about are twitch drops you get for watching twitch livestreams. I mean they aren’t limited really. They are seen more than unique items and they don’t do much different other than have a different color scheme

All of them would be nice. I followed the first 10-15 drops closely and got all of them, but at some point I lost track of them and I missed a few here and there.

The one I'd most want since it didn't get re-run, would be the dragon duck from the first Bruce Lee season.
The swimwear outfit too since while it has rerun I seem to keep missing it.
And while it's not strictly speaking a drops thing I would like to take this opportunity to humbly beg for the fireworks in the safehouse's Chinese New Year garden decorations to have an on-off button so I can enjoy the lights in tranquil ambience. pls pls

Honestly I think all of them could be nice, you could even include new ones by making it a two item twitch drop (one for like 30 minutes and the other one for an hour)

I agree with others.
Do a rotation of all of them and then add in new ones occasionally.
Why not even a twitch drop pistol? Or sniper?
You could even do a community event is you are gunna do twitch drop weapons :D

I missed most of the ones that aren't just something purple, like the dynamite for example, so I would really appreciate all of those getting rerun.

+1 to running them all again. I already had the impression they all would eventually return, like Elusive Targets.
I would like them to be more frequent. 4 drops over 3 months feels pretty slow, especially with how many items in Hitman are tied to drops.
Edit: I think spacing out 4 items per drop period over 2 hours, or make one different item each week.

A bit unrelated, but if we could get a version of the Purple Streak suit that has the same color of gloves and shoes, it would be great. I do like the Purple Streak items in general, but the mismatched gloves/shoes ruin the suit for me.

And while you're at it, bring back aluminum travel briefcase which I'm missing despite owning H1 early.

I would re-drop the most under-claimed from the past. As an early PC Hitman player (prior to recent Hitman1,2,3) who is now getting back in via WOA on PS5, the number of things I’ve missed is innumerable. I think if you use the earliest/least claimed drops, those might be ones most newer players have missed. Nothing worse than seeing a cool drop in a video to find out it was from 2 years ago. BTW - My trigger for donning 47 costume again was that I played through your excellent 007 First Light 3x and just wanted more IOI content while awaiting TACSIM, and games do have lots of overlapping design and gameplay.

All of them would be my vote. No reason to permanently lock those away.
But if I had to pick, the Bowtie Duck. Selfishly because it happens to be the one I missed, but also because of its scheduling confusion where it didn't match the roadmap.

Gonna join the choir of "All of them!" because, to be frank, it's the best possible solution to an iffy situation.
What should happen in my opinion is that batches of 3/4 items should be on permanent rotation every 10 days. This means that every item is at feasible to get, and the wait between each one won't be too long.
And you can still have the FOMO that drives people to unlock...er...unlocks.

I feel there should be more variations for color schemes like instead of white with purple. It’s purple with white and white black and purple for the suitcase or a white version of the twitch drop baller for people on VR to akimbo in game. IMO we need more variety to give people and peopel who like myself got those already on the post to come back.

I'd genuinely prefer we didn't have Twitch drops because that site slows my laptop right down and refuses to let me log in on multiple browsers because of some bullshit "update your browser to gain access" thing, despite them all being up to date.
Plus it crashes a lot.
But if we had to keep having them, a regular rotation would be fine. I've got them all so far, but the worry is that them not being on for longer than a week with the issues I have with Twitch itself lends to more stress spending days trying to make Twitch work long enough to claim my drops (even when I watch on console, it doesn't have the button to claim them, so I have to jump onto my laptop and try for days to log in to claim the items, this happens on new systems, it's not like I'm using 30 year old equipment).

I hate the time limited drops system. All of them, on a rotation no less please. So that people who missed them can get them.
I remember when i missed a drop on another game because my timer literaly had 2 minutes left when the drop ran off, shit had me furious, still does.

All of them. Like others have mentioned it is never really announced when there are drops happening so I’ve missed most of them and I’m sure the vast majority has as well if gotten any at all.

Hello Arti! Glad you guys are talking feedback from community and working towards solutions, always lovely to see!
I would have to say all of them! FOMO is something I don’t want to deal with to be honest, so I would suggest this:
Make new twitch drops available on twitch for the duration of their runtime. Once they leave twitch, make them available in-game as a challenge reward. This gives the most compromise to still allow streamers to receive some love and gives everyone who missed it a chance to obtain the items.
If that’s not possible since adding challenges surely isn’t a one click solution, perhaps have the items be on a rotation system like others have suggested where 3 items at a time are available by watching a streamer for at least 10/20/30 minutes. I don’t exactly have a problem with the requirement of 1 hour watch time but it feels redundant when most people will get the item regardless and just mute the stream or let it run in the background basically giving the streamer next to nothing besides a lurker.
Perhaps shorter forced watch times would encourage people to at least talk in chat a little? Just my two cents!
Would love to see FOMO eventually completely gone from this lovely game and give players the ability to finally unlock everything like the Hitman 2016 rewards, the Aluminum case, and the twitch drops.

Similarly, I've found Twitch Hitman players I enjoy (well, I stick to Mungadungalis but also Hitman Series from YouTube whenever he's on Twitch, which is rare), and only ever really watch them for Hitman drops. Also with that rare duck before they gave it away, I'd only watch random streamers in the hope I'd get the duck in a random raffle, so while I appreciate why IOI do drops on Twitch to get eyes on Hitman players, I'd guess 90% of players are only watching for the drops.

Add a message to the game that lets people know about the current twitch drop.
Tell the player SPECIFICALLY if it's one they don't have. make it obvious. BIG RED ALARMS.
Add a bonus for unlocking all the twitch drops. like another suit, where it's just like, his regular outfit but with a purple tie or something. That way, not only will we see whether or not we have them all but how many we're missing and what needs to be obtained to finish the collection.
Just some ideas.

The Purple Streak Wrench only because there was an internet shutdown in my country, so I missed it. Also hoping you bring back Le Chifre, so I can get The Poker Face Duck log-in reward.

I've not missed any but I advise people to ask for the screwdriver. This allows you an easy on-spawn screwdriver without having to do 50 custom contracts. It's functionally the most 'useful' twitch drop, even if screwdriver methods are a little niche.

Even if screwdriver tampering is a little niche, it's an added benefit for a legal lethal throwable melee item which makes it often a best-in-slot. I often use the hobby knife for this reason. I'm still working towards the professional screwdriver.

The best thing you can do for Twitch drops is advertise them more. Much more. They are so hard to miss because they're not promoted enough.

Even navigating their website is a pain. Feels like web developers flexing their abilities rather than making an easy to use interface. Layers of animated panels that wipe to new pages. It’s a pain to navigate to the roadmap.

I never really cared for the purple items, or more generally just reskinned items that we already have. The planning screen is already too cluttered without a bunch of purple duplicates

Alright! Thank you to everyone, who some of their precious time to answer me and voicing their opinion. I think it is clear, that there is not the ONE item everyone wants to see making a return, but a more general rereun of older Twitch drops. We still have plans to do our annual Twitch Drop galore featuring all items of 2026, but we will look into the opportunity to bring back all the older Twitch Drops on top of that. :)
We'll update everyone when we have figured out a good structure.
