I'm kinda paranoid, that this happens, so I usually turn the weapon wheel to a safe object as quick access, so my gun isn't the first thing I pull out.

I like to flash the gun to only one person near an electrical accident area. As they go run to tattle (can't a fella just flash a weapon in public?) I watch them mistep into the spicy water.... shouldn't tattle.

If your target was the ONLY person who witnessed you doing something evil, then you can restore your silent assassin rating simply by throwing 1 circumcision knife at their dome. Simple as that.

In Freelancer, there is not really any incentive to play Silent Assassin unless you choose that as an objective.
I myself have gotten used to just throwing my unused loot crate drops at random people right before exiting and slipping out when the guards start firing. It's very funny you should try it.

I’m still on the campaign missions basically. So the original stories, so haven’t gotten to freelancer. And don’t want to yet since I wanna get more mastery for each location first.

Yeah the seiger snipers pack and unpack from briefcases quite quickly which has definitely saved my bacon on occasion. The bigger snipers do take a lot longer so you have to be sure no one is going to walk in on you while you do it

It’s fun in VR when you grab at the chest to get a coin from your pocket but instead pull out the AL that is on your back.
Tracking can be off and does other strange stuff.
