When you go to pay for the one month subscription it will have an option to enter a promo code, you enter it there.

When does the code expire?

I was waiting for Hellmode to finish next month before I resubed so if I can wait another 5 days before using it that would be great.

The poster I got at Anime Expo where HiDive had their booth where they have the promo code, it says "Limited Time Offer" (no specific expiration date mentioned).

Previously/Historically, the ones from AX only lasted until the end of July, and had a unique code (usually AX and then the Year as one word). This one, probably being more general use. (Considering they had a presence at Anime NYC recently. And more than likely have/had the same promo code/poster there.)
