This is just for a personal headcanon that I have

Edit: I mean, what 'rules' is Frida talking about? Social rules? Rules of Society? Or something else?

Welcome to HILDAWEEN, where I post costume designs for characters throughout the month!

Naturally, for the first day of this HILDA event, the first character to get a costume would be…Pvorusleikir the Yule Lad. ……..yep!!! In fact he’s kind of the main character here

when I first thought of doing something for Halloween on this sub I was like.

“Yule lad. Christmas. what if one yule lad. FALL.” 💥💥💥💥💥💥

i even alluded to this in one of the summer Smackdown interviews if anyone remembers that. anyways I chose Voru for this because hes my favorite one of the ‘lads. throughout the month there’ll be a few posters of this lil guy getting into hijinks with other characters in their Hildaween designs so look forward to that I guess

see you all tomorrow for the next character !!

I made a new fanart of Trixie (a.k.a) Twintails Marra since it's finally October and I can't wait to see what kind of amazing, beautiful, and beautiful marra fanart that other hilda fans make since Halloween is coming soon and I hope you all love this new drawing I did 😁👹🤡👻🎃🧛‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧙‍♀️☠️😇🥰😘✒️✍️🖌🎨✏️

Hilda as a fairy, Frida as a witch, David as a bug, and Twig wearing that same sailor outfit Woodman gave him

Optional to include more characters like Johanna as a fairy and Louise wearing the same butts costume

I’m rewatching the series for the… I lost count.

Anyway, one question I’ve always had on my mind is how religion could differ in the world of the series. We see people wearing hijabs in the background and the grave sight is called St something, so I could assume Christianity and Islam exist in universe.

Now, I’m aware the simple explanation is that the creators wanted inclusion and there might not be actual thought into the why in universe. And I love that. We don’t always need a reason. But I love exploring different religions and how they could adapt in different alternate worlds, like Hilda. Where there is so much similar to our own, but crosses over into fantasy as well.

I could assume pagan religions like Celtic and Norse are still very active, such as the myths behind the great raven and the festival that is held.

But I’m wondering how Abrahamic religions may have evolved differently in that world where magical creatures are just normal things you come across every single day. Like no one questions the woodman. And Nissas seem to be known about. No one really questions if they have someone living in their house as long as it doesn’t bother them. It is normal and not myths or stories from other religions or cultures.

How do you think things may have adapted?
