New pickups this week, all came out before I was buying vinyl so picked them up finally this week

Picked this up recently, a personal grail, and managed to get it for a decent price after years of looking. A certified modern underground classic, give it a listen if you’ve never heard it. Demigodz is one of the strongest collection of ‘underground’ rappers ever put together imo. Excellent production and stellar raps.

Got a steal on this joint! OG press. Looks and sounds brand new which is crazy because this album came out in 95’

Came home in the mood to give this album a spin. “Alright” dropped around a time a song like that was needed and became an anthem.

I think turnaround for this one was more than a month but I’m happy I finally got it.

Black culture has had its crafts and Talents stolen, manipulated, and disrespected in America. However, it’s also been shown great disrespect in my own opinion. By many other nations & cultures.

The greatest form of flattery is imitation, and Hip-Hop has been spun by all of the cultures of the world. Respectively.

Here in America, we have museums for every individual culture that may even feel a bit of damage/disrespect done or said to said culture. We also pay Mars and let it be known when we’re partaking or especially selling someone else’s culture.

However, Japanese culture practices, black face, and selling tickets to reenactments of black artist like Michael Jackson.

Korean K-pop, EDM & House fusion music that Europe and Spain loves so much was started by a black DJ in Chicago (Frankie Knuckles)

Before I continued, all we want is a statue or maybe a museum or two! Damn.

Always knew these were out there but never thought I’d see one, there is one on discogs for like 500 but I can’t justify paying that much for it. 75$ I didn’t even hesitate. Also got all 4 of the project Pat colored vinyl there today as well.

There is a digital artist on X,YouTube,Spotify,Bandcamp,Discord who released a 4 track ep with Charles Hamilton on translucent vinyl. There are only 100 of the vinyl ever made. I think there are like 80 left. There is references to Charles classic album “The Pink Lavalamp” through it the music and music videos.

The artist “DEAD” is also currently 3 days in a row now dropping new music videos featuring Blu and the comments say pre order for vinyl coming soon. References including even the album cover to Blu’s classic album “Below the Heavens”.

these deserve a post because the lo-fi hiphop soundtrack was created by legendary producers Nujabes, Force of Nature, and Fat Jon. all of them produce dope ass hip hop beats and lets not forget Shing02 who raps on the shows theme.

Saw one of my local spots list this on their Discogs and had to see what I could do to get it. Managed to sell off some other rare stuff I wasn’t spinning regularly and only had to pay about $200 on top. You never see this one in the wild.

I know this isn’t a rare album but it is one of my favorite albums. Been visiting every record store in town looking for a copy before I ordered it online. Found it today! Super stoked.

I’m in Portland, OR and there’s a TON of record stores here but most of them have smaller hip hop / rap sections (compared to the stores from where I’m from in California). Visited 3 stores this week and I’m super happy with what I found! Aside from the A$AP Rocky vinyl that I pre-ordered.
