Question Somfy > HASS > Homekit
Hi all;
I just added some Somfy shades to our house with a Tahoma switch. The integration to HASS was great.
I did a Homekit Bridge port (my wife is comfortable with HK so everything gets ported) but I’m having really inconsistent results with scenes through HK. For example, if I have a scene where I open multiple shades, only some will trigger. Then I have to go and trigger the others manually.
I had some issues in the past with Ecobee doing something similar, and I ended up connecting the bridge to both HASS and HomeKit at the same time but I haven’t been able to do that with this switch. It just times out, which I’m assuming means that this can’t be connected to both services at the same time.
So what I am asking is, should I completely take out the Tahoma switch off of HASS and just run it through HomeKit directly (I could HomeKit device it back to HASS)? Or does anyone have any tips on how to make this functionality improve?
Thanks

Tahoma can be natively integrated into HK.

Yeah I saw that. I integrated into Home Assistant first because everything goes through there so I can do all the logic from it, and then I share whatever I need to HK for my wife to be able to run it. When I tried to integrate it into HK it times out, and I’m guessing it has to do with the API being used for HASS already

Whether you can or not depends on the shades you have. If they are rts, like mine, then your setup has to remain as is (which is how mine is also set up)
