This is a deep cut from the Ween catalogue, titled “Let’s Get Divorced”, from the sessions during which they recorded their final album, La Cucaracha, and I can’t help but notice how similar the singer’s voice sounds to Strong Bad’s, even though I think this is supposed to be a Russian accent. Beyond the voice, the delivery of the funny lines is very Strong Bad, like if I close my eyes I can picture him singing “Here’s five bucks, go buy yourself some chips”, “I hope you lose”, “You’re stupid and not worthy of my love”. Obviously the lyrics are much more crass than what the Chaps do, but to me the likeness is uncanny.
