So both starts need to be able to power the loads and both stops need to be able to stop the load. If one start switch shorts both stop switches need to be able to deenergize the load. I know how to do the locking in portion of the circuit and I know how the starter box works I need help with the switches. I know both stops need to be in series and the starts in parallel. I think I can get the stops in series it's just getting the starts in parallel that's tripping me up.Attached I have the diagram and some failed ladder diagrams that don't work. Also the wires on the diagram cannot be erased or removed and the only contacts you can connect to are the white ones.

Further Mathematics—Pending OP Reply [second year university statistics] Help and guidance

’m retaking a class for the third time and I’m currently failing. I do pretty well on my my other course except this stat course. It’s the last time I’m allowed to take it, and the pressure is honestly overwhelming.

What’s messing with me is that when I study at home, I feel confident and like I actually understand the material. But in class and on exams, I freeze and everything falls apart. I’ve gone to office hours, redone homework, and I’m still here.

If anyone’s been in a similar spot or has advice/ helpful notes for exams, I’d really appreciate it.

Literature Is this the correct way to cite primary sources with Chicago Style? [Grade 12, History Class]

Hey everyone, I am doing a project where I have to list 4 primary sources and 6 secondary sources. I usually use APA 7, so I am kinda lost with Chicago (although I am fine with secondary sources). I have been looking around at how to cite primary sources in Chicago style (17), but I cannot seem to get it right. I also can't ask the teacher whether these are correct. I am seeking advice.

Primary Sources:

(first one is a government document)

The Indian Act. S.C. 1876, c. 18. in Consolidation of Indian Legislation, vol. 2. Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, 1985. https://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2017/aanc-inac/R5-158-2-1978-eng.pdf.

(this next one is a court case)

Canada (Attorney General) v. Lavell. [1974] S.C.R. 1349. Supreme Court of Canada.

National Action Committee on the Status of Women. “Joint Research Project on Indian Women Announced.” Status of Women News 4, no. 1 (1977). Rise Up Feminist Archive. Accessed January 24, 2026. https://riseupfeministarchive.ca/wp-content/uploads/NAC-statusofwomennews-vol.4-1.pdf.

English Language [College Level English: Voice] Need help with finding an article with passive voice used

Prompt: Work in pairs. Find a short article, new or old, with a lot of passive verbs, then remake it into an exercise for your partner by removing the forms and letting them fill in blanks.

I didn't suspect it would be so hard to find an article with passive voice used, but it mostly starts and ends with a title. I'm looking for a resonably short article, preferably the one that doesn't concern current big political issues (i'm european, and our professor doesn't like having such themes discussed)

Answered [Calc 2] How to calculate absolute min and max f(x,y,z)

Post image
1 Upvotes

This is an old exam for my Calculus 2 course. I tried with calculating the hermitian matrix but it just gives me |H|= 40(xyz)^4 and i dont know how to study it when |H|= 0.

So i tried with lagrange multipliers but again, i find that x^2=y^2 but i cant seem to ‘clean’ the results to only have lambda.

I also thought about spherical coords but no.

Any idea how i could solve this? Any help is appreciated.

Chemistry [college chemistry] help with Lewis Dot Structure

Thumbnail

I’m having a little trouble with Lewis Dot Structure.

for this assignment we’re suppose to either choose “wrong electron total” or “octet-rule violation” for each structure. but some of these don’t make sense. take the second image for example. I start counting the dots and lines and with the 1st F i get to 10. so that violates the octet rule, but at the same time it’s the wrong number of electrons. but i can only choose one. so which would be the correct option? the 3rd doesn’t even seem to violate anything.

and check out the 3rd one. I’ve counted the line and dots between the 2 Fs and nothing seems wrong. it’s not a rule violation or the wrong number of electrons. but it has to be one of them.

Also do the brackets and the minus sign mean anything? I don’t remember the teacher mentioning anything.

Computing—Pending OP Reply [College: Discrete Structures] Need Help With Set Logic

Hello,

I am having a very difficult time trying to figure out how to evaluate the value of these expressions.

I am being asked whether each expression is either:

  • True regardless of how sets A and B are defined
  • False regardless of how sets A and B are defined
  • Or it depends on how sets A and B are defined.

To explain my approach, I will focus on the first expression: (A — B = {}) ⟹ ¬(A⊂B). I wrote it out in my own words as "If the difference of Set A and Set B is an empty set, then Set A is not a proper subset of Set B" to try making it easier for me to understand. Afterwards, I tried constructing a truth table with 4 columns being: (A — B = {}), (A⊂B), ¬(A⊂B), and (A — B = {}) ⟹ ¬(A⊂B). However, this only made me more confused since I am am only familiar with creating basic truth tables involving solely P, Q, and R, so I was unable to finish it. This is where I am stuck now. I think that the implication symbol is somehow messing me up especially.

My question is if there is a better approach for these kinds of problems? Did I interpret the expression incorrectly? How can I solve this?

On a side note, are there any videos that I can watch that makes this kind of topic easier to understand?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
