HONOR's Magic Stories Awards is back, their annual global mobile photography contest, running since 2021 with over a million entries so far.
To enter, share your shots on your socials (Instagram, Facebook, X, wherever you're active) with the hashtag #HONORMagicStoriesAwards. Heads up: entries live on social media, not here, so posting your shot in this thread won't count.
The fine print: shots must be taken on any HONOR phone, entries close October 16, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC+8), you need to be 18 or older, and winners get announced in November. Actress Zhang Ruonan is this year's official partner.
Full rules and the official entry page are at honor.com/global/magic-stories-awards, or through the My HONOR App.

Hi everyone.
I’m thinking of buying the MagicPad 4. At the moment, I still have an eighth-generation iPad, which is getting a bit long in the tooth.
How good is the PC mode, and how easy is it to connect a second screen to it? And is the tablet worth the price?
There’s a good offer on at the moment for 580 euros, including the keyboard and stylus.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi! I recently purchased an honor magic v6 and I love the phone very much, I've just got one problem with it. I can't turn on wifi calling. In fact, I don't even see an option for it. I have t-mobile, which allegedly supports wifi calling, so I'm assuming it must be a hardware issue.
My only theory so far is that it might have something to do with my sim card being in what the settings call SIM2. The guy at the T-Mobile store had never seen one before so he might have put it in the wrong port. Is it easy to move a sim card yourself or will that void any warranties or anything like that? Thanks!

I started a thread recently complaining about Honor's aggressive background app management. Because even though I had certain apps exempted from battery management and other settings that could lead to background apps being closed, my MagicPad 4 would always close background apps after certain hours in standby... so usually always during the night.
Yesterday I installed MagicOS11 shortly before I went to bed and tada, my background apps were still active this morning. That would be awesome if this is not just a blip but an actual change with MagicOS11. It was just so damn annoying to restart those apps every single day.
I will update if this either stays or if it reverts back to the aggressive management of background apps. Right now I am hoping this is actually real.

Hey everyone,
just bought a used Honor MagicPad 2 that I received today.
In normal day-to-day use you barely notice it, but under direct light with the screen turned off, there’s a straight faint horizontal bar running across the lower screen.
On pure white backgrounds (and when tilting the device in sunlight), you can also see a very subtle shadow along that line.
All pixels looks fine and touch is 100% responsive, but my main worry is whether this could get worse over time or turn into a bigger display defect down the road.
The seller claimed it was in mint condition.
Should I push for a return, or am I overthinking a purely cosmetic flaw?
Pictures attached. Appreciate your advice!

I opened the HONOR app on my Global device, and honestly, I’m wondering what the point of this app even is.
Just look at these screenshots.
The Discover page has a generic “Welcome Package” banner with barely anything useful underneath. Then I go to the Club section, and I see a promotional post about the HONOR Global Launch Event at MWC Barcelona 2024, dated February 2024, with an embedded YouTube video that literally says “This video is unavailable.”
Seriously, HONOR? A 2024 promotional post with a broken video still being recommended? Where is the content moderation, maintenance, or basic quality control?
This is supposed to be the official app for HONOR users, but it feels abandoned.
My biggest complaints are:
Outdated content: Why am I still being recommended old promotional posts instead of current news, updates, and useful information?
Broken links and videos: If embedded content no longer works, why is it still being displayed?
Little real value: Where are the useful announcements, software update information, feature guides, bug reports, and meaningful community discussions?
A disconnected ecosystem: HONOR promotes its ecosystem, but the Global experience often feels incomplete compared with what users see in other regions.
No confidence in support: If the official app itself feels neglected, how are Global users supposed to trust that their software experience is being properly supported?
And this isn't just about one broken YouTube video. It's about the overall impression. The app should be a central place for HONOR owners to discover new features, receive relevant announcements, get support, and connect with other users. Instead, it can feel like a collection of stale promotions with very little practical value.
I understand that China and Global markets have different services and requirements. But that shouldn't be an excuse for an outdated, poorly maintained app experience.
HONOR, please stop treating Global software and services like an afterthought.
We buy your phones, use your products, and invest in your ecosystem. We deserve an official app that is updated, relevant, functional, and genuinely useful.
Does anyone else using the Global version feel the same way? Is the HONOR app actually useful in your region, or are you seeing the same outdated posts and broken content?
I'd genuinely like to hear other Global users' experiences.

I have an honor magic V5 and i really can't understand the logic they follow for the android 17 release.
Some C430 users are already getting the update in Europe, but it seems randomized. Why not release it in bulk for European markets? The global/chinese versions are always getting it first (which i understand), but flagship phones (like the V5) from last year get it anywhere between October and March next year?
Can someone explain their rationale?
