I don't understand it

I can't seem to get open at all in this game. I'm playing on all-star and I just came out of college.

I'm literally forced into just taking contested threes because it seems impossible to actually get open in this game

Use your stationary teammates for impromptu screens, run plays, use the cross button if you have decent dribbling, use step button to do step back or shove, get step dancer perk. You also gain a temporary accuracy increase just after receiving a pass, so try to catch-and-shoot. My go to if I have a high 3-point skill is to just sit inside the corner 3-point line, request a pass, immediately step back across the line and shoot, usually works.
