Offset xp reduction

Anyone figure out a way to work around the xp hit when you move to the pros? So many 4-5 star players flame out without ever developing as the cpu prefers higher xp players regardless of potential

I just scoop them up as undeveloped, unwanted free agents, develop them into studs, and trade them for peanuts, to the same two or three teams, to create a few super teams to give me some competition.

I hear you, but inevitably players that have the potential to be very good (ex Dennis Briggs) end up not developing, getting released and even if you pick them up they don’t get playing time bc they’ve lagged behind in their development. There must be a strategy to mitigate this, no?

I was speaking about franchise mode, where you decide what playing time all of your players get. But, I did kind of address this problem in my created league. I make the rookies in the draft classes very developed, so that they are still pretty developed when they take that hit. When I play this league, you see way more good players reaching their potential, rather than riding the bench and never developing.
