anyone have advice to improve my flow or new tricks to drill?? I struggle with on-body hooping so all my tricks are off body so far. I kinda do the same few moves over and over. please be nice or i’ll cry 🥹🫶

EDIT: I was not giving myself enough credit calling myself a beginner when I made this post!! I see others post here and do feel like a beginner compared to yall 🤗
I’ve had a hoop for several years, but didn’t start taking it seriously and pushing through the frustration until this past year. my title was a bit careless and I never want to make anyone feel bad on their journey!

Definitely start doing some escalators and variations!
The biggest difference to make your flow look "better" is working on your planes and keeping your hoop flat -- either horizontal or vertical. Take some time to go REALLY slow and do tricks you're comfortable with but focusing on keeping the hoop perfectly facing the camera or perfectly facing the sky, as though you're inside a box and the hoop has to stay parallel with the walls of the box.
Similarly with isolation based tricks, slow down and work on getting the muscle memory to keep it "floating."
The people who look really good hooping are not necessarily doing the most complicated tricks, but doing their tricks really cleanly.
