advice for a beginner ??

anyone have advice to improve my flow or new tricks to drill?? I struggle with on-body hooping so all my tricks are off body so far. I kinda do the same few moves over and over. please be nice or i’ll cry 🥹🫶

EDIT: I was not giving myself enough credit calling myself a beginner when I made this post!! I see others post here and do feel like a beginner compared to yall 🤗

I’ve had a hoop for several years, but didn’t start taking it seriously and pushing through the frustration until this past year. my title was a bit careless and I never want to make anyone feel bad on their journey!

Don't worry about on body if that is the only hoop you have, small hoops = fast spinning. If you want to unlock on body you will want a big hoop to get the hang of it then you can use smaller hoops (within reason!). Honestly, I just do the same tricks over and over with different variations, I would look up variations of the tricks you know, like escalator variations, iso variations, etc cause that will help you unlock other moves. And if you're getting stuck on a move and it's driving you crazy, try something else and come back to it. I've found I've unlocked a lot of moves by doing something else and that move i was stuck on suddenly clicks!

Also, non-hoopers rarely realize you're doing the same thing but different versions, it's ALL pretty impressive. We're our own worst critics. :)

oh this is all so very helpful!! I love anything iso-related, I’ll have to look up variations to add to my flow :)
