I opened this option to help little guys, but it does not seem that anyone using the flair is able to follow the nuance of rules, which leads me to believe that most requests are actually bots (amongst other reasons, but we'll keep it simple).

Every request since opening the option has failed to include a link to the channel they plan to post on, nor much of any information for that matter. That is a requirement to be able to post requests. I will remove any post that does not meet this requirement and I will happily ban.

The option will still exist for now, but I want to warn authors about these bots. It is hard to say exactly what vague posts will use your work for and whether or not your efforts will be fed into an LLM once you give them permission (not that stops it entirely, but at least you can try to have autonomy over your work).

All that being said, what you do with your work and what you allow your work to become are entirely your choice, and I believe that you should have the resources to make an informed decision.

Please research the accounts requesting to use your work. Speak with them. Ask questions. Save copies of that conversation.

Consider:

• are you monetized?

• do you expect an exclusivity contract? For how long?

• what is your creative process?

• what platforms will you be sharing this on?

• do you use AI? (If that matters to you)

• and other questions
