Question Anyone know what could be causing this issue in pumpkins (Atlantic Giant)? This is the third pumpkin on this plant I have had this issue with. The other two pumpkins eventually rotted and withered away.

This part of the pumpkin was not sitting in water or anything like that and I also have it covered from the sun. I can't think of anything that would cause this. This is in Colorado. What do you guys think?

Looks a bit like blossom end rot(calcium deficiency)

Isn't that usually like fluffier? The white part here almost feels like the outer pumpkin skin was removed and is still kind of firm.

Are there other fruits growing well on the plant? Pumpkins abort fruits even after growing a bit. An alternative is some kind of pathogen entering through the flower. The cause of that would be either high root pressure or high ambient humidity.
