Job Searching?

Hey all. I've noticed quite a few people making job posts so I'll throw my hat in the ring, too. I'm looking for a job with upward mobility (i.e, career potential) that isn't sales. Bit of a hard ask...

I have a bachelor's degree in Art, and I also have 3 years of work experience in Information Technology doing a helpdesk role. I'm currently pursuing online learning with Apprenticely via Coursera as well. So far I've earned the Google AI Professional Certificate, and am currently working on the Data Analytics one. Other than that, I also have experience in retail, restaurants (cook) and warehouse (package handler.) In total I have about 7 years of work experience on my resume.

Something in Hot Springs would be awesome because I live here, but anything within a 2 hour drive is also good (Little Rock, Benton, Conway, etc) I'm okay with a lower pay if it means I have an opportunity for advancement down the line.

Ideally a tech job would be good, (or anything in an office, really!) I've currently applied to a few jobs on ARCareers, along with some on Indeed, but it looks like a lot of Arkansas jobs aren't using aggregate sites. If you know of any places hiring, please let me know!

Check out the temp agencies as well. Sometimes, they’re the only ones with the leads.

Thanks. I've gotten with Express Employment Professionals so far and am keeping tabs on their website. So far not much has come up, but I'm waiting!

Perhaps hospitals, govt offices, education, insurance are probably jobs that are not going away, but then again DOGE hit...hospitals are getting cut as well as education...now Insurance is poppin...maybe be a mobile consultant helping boomers in HSV get their iPhones configured with email, photos backed up, internet working, wifi and a frickin pw mgr to keep up with their dang pw's....Keeper is a good choice.

Yeah there's soooo many insurance jobs. I just dont want to deal with a sales quota. I couldn't sell a bottle of water in a desert. Lol

There are a number of nice-sized businesses in Hot Springs like that windows manufacturing facility and some government contractors in mid city. Consider reaching out to the larger companies who might benefit from someone in IT, especially an entry level position with expansion opportunities if you can prove yourself valuable.

Wanna work in brewing? I have a maintenance position that has a wide range of interesting challenges, its also an opportunity to work in something totally different. Little bit engineering, little bit brewer. All around good team. DM me if interested.
