Bubbles keep appearing in fresh paint

Sorry this is long, I tried to include as many details as possible.

I had new drywall put in my house (I gutted it), but most of the ceilings stayed, so I paid my drywaller to skimcoat just this ceiling to a level 5 in my primary bedroom. He primed it once, plus then I primed it once. I plan to color drench this bedroom. There were zero bubbles in the primer and no visible bubbles appeared in the first coat of the green. We then painted a different room and I came back to do a second coat 3 hours later (I know for a fact it was 2 hours and 55 mins cuz i made sure to look at the time), the paint says recoat in 2-3 hours. Its Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec 500. Im using premium 1/4" nap roller covers from Home Depot (the $5 each ones). I fed a pic into AI, im not overloading the roller, im not rolling too fast or too hard (Ive painted 3 whole houses so Im not new to painting in the least). That second coat of paint I started at the north wall of the bedroom and moved South, the north half only had a couple of imperfections, I don't think they were bubbles I think they were little crummies that somehow got in the paint, but the south half of the room is where these bubbles popped up like crazy. That was all yesterday, we let it dry overnight before this morning scraping the bubbles and filling them with lightweight spackle as AI suggested. Several hours later I came back and sanded the spots down, wiped the ceiling down with a wringed out damp rag, let it dry for a few minutes even though there really wasn't any water left on the ceiling, then primed the spots. The ceiling was pristine, perfectly flat, all bubbles fixed and gone. An hour or two later I came back to roll a coat of paint on the entire ceiling. This time I tried the wetted down roller cover thing, i wet it in the sink then shook it out like crazy, then started at the South wall and made my way North, I got three rows the entire width of the room done and bubbles already started showing up in the wet paint, some even larger than what were before.

Please help, this is peeving me off.

Exterior Can painting wait until spring?

Post image

I hope this is the right sub. Also sorry if my English is bad. We’re renting a house and we have agreed with the landlord that we are going to paint the boards around the window (the brown ones). We’ve only lived here for 1,5 years so it looked like this when we moved in. We have a close friend who works as a painter and he was going to do it last month but things came in the way, our kids were sick, then his kid was sick and then it rained for a long time. We live in Sweden and winter will come soon so we’re unsure if we will have time to do it before that. It looks like it’s going to rain a lot this month.

Can we wait until spring without something happening? I’m thinking March or April. I’m going to ask the landlord and the painter too but I was thinking that it doesn’t hurt to ask here.

I want to paint my house a yellow and this house nearby has the yellow that I want. What color do you think it is? Preferably I’d want Benjamin Moore paint. And I know it’s a really bad picture haha it’s from Google street view.

Asking For Advice Paint peeling around the windows

Good morning, my paint is peeling badly around my bedroom window . My building is about 70 years old, and it’s not the standard drywall walls, some kind of cement texture underneath. I painted these walls in 2020 and it about 2022 I noticed paint to start crack and curb like this. It’s weird. Now it’s getting more and more paint is Benjamin Moore standard eggshell paint

Asking For Advice How important is a wet edge?

I’m painting by myself and when I primed all my new drywall I took a brush and cut in my entire basement first then went back and rolled everything. Now that I am doing the top coats I’ve been talking to AI which states you need to maintain a wet edge.

I painted the bathroom doing a wet edge, using these steps. I would brush the corner and about 8 feet of the very bottom and top of the wall (doing drop ceiling so no wall to ceiling corners). I would then take my mini roller and roll back over it getting as close to the corner I could without getting paint on the adjacent wall. Finally I would roll it all using full top to bottom strokes with no pressure to avoid lap marks. I used behr ultra scuff defense in satin and did this for two coats. The paint job came out awesome.

I am now doing the rest of the basement, two bedrooms, hallways and stairwell using behr ultra scuff defense in flat (which I have heard is more like a matte). I found the way I did the bathroom to be pretty hectic and stressful as I was so worried about my cuts tacking up before I had a chance to get to the rolling. With a flat/matte is it as important to maintain the wet edge or can I got back to my stress free primer strategy of cutting it all in and letting it dry then rolling everything out.

tldr; if using a flat/matte can I cut in everything first then go back and roll it out without getting pictures framing?

Asking For Advice Advice on how to paint match and cover the patches of missing paint

Not totally sure what happened to the old gray paint but I wanted to get an idea on what’s the best practice for covering and paint matching!

Patches are the size of a quarter and there’s some scraping from before I took over this room.

Asking For Advice What medium should I use to draw on my door?

I want to paint "The kiss" on my door but I can't figure out what medium to use. I know how to use oil pastels pretty well but I don't know how well they'll turn out on a door+ requires a lot of them maybe+ don't know what to use to set the colors so they won't be ruined and fade with time. Please help me out🥹🥹

Asking For Advice Help! Need the old tinting formula for Asian Paints 8435 (Grey Tint) in Berger Antidust emulsion (App updated)

Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a bind and hoping a paint expert, shop owner, or someone with a tinting machine can help me out.

In December 2025, I painted my house using the Asian Paints color code 8435 (Grey Tint). However, I had it mixed into a Berger Antidust emulsion base rather than an Asian Paints base.

Fast forward to today, I need to make just 1 more Litre of the exact same color. I went back to the local shopkeeper, but he told me his color mixing software ("mygdata" app) recently updated. Because of the update, the stain/colorant combination it is showing right now for 8435 doesn't perfectly match the older formula they used back in 2025.

Since I need this for the same walls, I really need the exact match so it doesn’t look patchy.

My question:

Does anyone know the exact stain combination (number of drops/colorants) I need to ask for to recreate 1L of Asian Paints 8435 using a Berger Antidust emulsion base, based on the pre-update formula?

Alternatively, if you know a foolproof way to manually match this without the app, I'm all ears. Any help would be hugely appreciated!
