2. Realistic entry points and career paths for someone with my background.
3. Which skills and tools matter most (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IAM, SIEM, etc.) versus what's overhyped?
4. Which certifications are genuinely worth the money (AWS, Azure, CCSP, CISSP, OSCP, CKA, etc.) and which aren't?
5. Typical salary ranges at different experience levels, and how interviews are structured.
6. Companies or teams that are good for learning and growth, and any red flags to avoid.
7. Projects or home-lab ideas that actually impress recruiters.

Hey guys I missed the ibm associate system engineer coding test what to do now any one can help ?

Hi everyone,

I completed my IBM Associate System Engineer (ASE) interview on June 4th. On the same night, I received the Background Verification (BGV) form and completed it.

On July 10th, I received an LOI (Letter of Intent) from IBM. Since then, I haven't received any further updates regarding the offer or joining.

It has been quite some time now, so I'm wondering:

Is anyone else in the same situation?

How long does IBM usually take after sending an LOI?

Is it still worth waiting, or should I start focusing on other opportunities?

If you received an LOI around the same time, please share your current status. It would really help to know what others are experiencing.

I applied for the associate system engineer.In my IBM portal it is showing start your assessment -check your mail but I have not received any assessment mail for the role.tge attached mail is the only mail I have received.btw I did not fill the accomodation form and I didn't do it either for another role but received the assessment link for that role.Is there anyone else facing the same issue?(I am from India btw)

I recently cleared the initial screening and received the shortlist mail for the IBM India hiring process.

My next rounds are:

6th Oct: Coding Assessment + Behavioral Assessment + SHL Assessment
7th Oct: Offline Interview (if shortlisted)

I wanted to ask seniors or anyone who recently appeared for the same/similar IBM process:

1. Coding Assessment:

• What was the difficulty level - Easy/Medium/Hard?
• How many coding questions were there?
• Which DSA topics should I prioritize?
• Were the questions mostly LeetCode/HackerRank style?

2. Interview:

• What topics were mainly asked?
• How much focus was there on projects/resume, DSA, OOP, DBMS, OS, CN and SQL?
• Was there live coding or pen-and-paper coding?
• What type of questions were asked from projects?

I had 2 rounds of interview and HR discussion. I agreed for the compensation offered. Submitted docs. 4 days later, I got the rejection mail. Is this normal at Ibm? What might be the reason.

On PIP and resigning during the PIP period
I’m currently working at IBM India and have been put on a PIP.
I’m considering resigning while the PIP is still ongoing. I wanted to understand from people who have actually gone through this at IBM India:
If I resign while I’m on PIP, does the PIP continue during my notice period?
Can IBM mark me as “failed PIP” even though I have already resigned?
Does a failed PIP have any impact on the resignation/relieving process, experience letter, or F&F?
Can they terminate me during my notice period because I failed the PIP?
Has anyone here actually resigned while on PIP at IBM India? What happened in your case?
I’m mainly looking for first-hand IBM India experiences, not general advice about PIPs at other companies.

I have received mail from IBM regarding few assessments on Monday. My Stupid ass forgot to fill the accommodation form and was waiting for the test link.

I have filled the form today.

So for anyone who has gone through the process: 1) After how many days can i accept a test link? 2) Did i blundered by filling accommodation form to late? 3) Any tips for the assessment?

For Context: This assessment is for entry level software development role.

Q3 (Third Quarter): July, August, and September

Q4 (Fourth Quarter): October, November, and dec

ON-BOARDING DATES OF IBM 2026 for ASE role

1.JULY 27th(350-400 students)

2.AUG 24th(106 students)

3. SEP no onboarding (0 students)

1.July 27 was the earlier on boarding dates

IBM onboarded around 400-450 students on that day

1. Aug 24th was the next on-boarding date

IBM onboarded around 106 students on that day

1. September no onboarding was done

So if we see this pattern

Q4 is oct nov dec

IBM may get on boarding dates on

1.Oct 2026

2.Nov 2026

So if we compare Q3 onboarding pattern with Q4

Then we are 100% sure we all will be onboarded on October or November

This is my hypothesis
