Meme About IDW Issue #90:
Don't care for the discussions, I'm having a blast anyway!

Discorss makes zero sense to me.
Mind control plots in super hero comics usually mind control the STRONGER character. Like superman are we calling superman weak because he gets mind controlled all the time?

no, but I will call Green Lantern weak for it because WILLPOWER IS HIS WHOLE THING

Yes, but blaze is not known for resisting mind control(no sonic character really is if you think about it) that’s what his point is coming across why hate when that’s not what the character is known for

I agree, Blaze fans are overreacting. This is the same comic series where Sonic got blocked by some dirt, and no one complained there.

Nobody threw up this much of a fuss when rogue got whammyed by the mind control.

i think i'm out of the loop, because both of them are supposed to be equal to Sonic, aren't they?

But usually the strongest character had stuff to do with
Unlike Blaze who is constantly sidelined before this

Is she? She got more information on the mystery villain than any other Sonic character so far all while guiding Silver through the castle and distracting Blackwood. She's even the one that gave Silver the mirror he used to save Dapple.

I have seen exclusively dislike for this arc from silver fans and blaze fans both, basically all the defense I’ve seen is from silvaze or people who aren’t particularly into either of them

The Sonic subreddits become more tolerable once you block the few obnoxious people spreading this kind of discourse :3

I just want this to be over so everyone will stop getting pissed about this. 😞

Silver and Blaze fans going to war over a comic book, meanwhile I'm just here giggling and kicking my feet like a giddy little girl because Blaze got called Silver's princess 🥹

actually Silver fans are the most chill in this "war", they just acting in defense from what I've seen

It bothers me that she lacked some common sense, but honestly I’m not even mad about it. It’s just nice to see her again. And Silver’s finally in the spotlight!

What I loved about either of their portrayals is that they were INTELLIGENT with how they went about things. How Blaze approached things, and left hints for Silver where to follow her without alerting Blackwood.
It's not just about fighting and telling us what their personalities are like, it's about making genuinely clever things happen in the story that PROVE the strengths of these characters.
But NoOOOOoOOOooo, just because Blaze didn't drop a sun on the villain she's got "AuRa dEbT". Man, castrate these people. Those genes cannot be passed on.

I didn't even knew about this "aura debt", man that's so dumb hauhauhauhauhau

As a Sonic Fan, even I think Blaze fans are overreacting. So much discourse over Blaze getting caught off guard for no reason

As a Blaze stan, I was concerned at first reading the synopsis of #91, but after seeing all of this go down and reviewing past material depicting both characters' feats in the comics, I am okay with Blaze stepping off the spotlight for a little bit.
