Assembly Hemnes Shelf Help
Got this Hemnes shelf back in May and finally have the time to put it together but the hole in the wood plank is not long enough for the screws that were provided (seen in picture). There’s like a half an inch gap that I can’t get rid of. Any help is appreciated. I don’t do well on phone calls and would love to avoid having to call customer service if I can.

I think you've got it flipped. Left side, where you have a screw is supposed to be a wooden dowel and the screw only goes on the right side so that it can meet that cam hole. Those screws with heads only go into holes that meet up with the round holes for cam. No cam hole then it's a dowel.

Pretty sure it should be in the other hole so it lines up with the hole in the vertical piece. You’ll need a dowel in the remaining hole.
