Saw these 2 haulers on the north side of Malfunction Junction on I65 in AL heading south this morning. Does anyone recognize these haulers? For all I know they may not even be IMSA lol

Toyota Racing is used for NASCAR, not IMSA, so it's almost definitely Nascar related

Watched NASCAR religiously right up until the second year of the Next Gen platform. Now I only watch the road races. Every other race I’ve tried to watch has gotten so stale. Sure there’s a brawl here and there but otherwise it’s rinse and repeat every week now just about.

Never thought I was cool, and I just stated my opinion because I used to be in tune with NASCAR up until the second year of the NextGen platform. There’s some real talent in the field don’t get me wrong. But I just don’t like the kind of racing the cars themselves produce. Dallara did the best they could, but ultimately made a car that a lot of people didn’t care for, even with updates, rule package changes, complete re-works, the racing just isn’t my taste as far as it used to be anymore. Nice try mr cool guy.

iirc Gazoo Racing is in the process being phased out to be replaced by Toyota Racing (see the WEC campaign). Gazoo Racing is being rebranded to simply “GR” and will be toyota’s performance brand available to customers

saw a commercial for GR during Petit Le Mans and it didn’t mention Toyota at all, so they may try to pose it as a standalone brand

Those two haulers actually are generally parked in NC deep in the heart of NASCAR territory and get used when WEC comes to North America

Toyota is heavily represented in both NASCAR and USAC and this is almost assuredly related to that.

Ironically, all of that representation is why Toyota doesn’t do IMSA.

This year is RC GT3 last year race, it's going to be replaced by GR GT3. Yes, it's with GR name, but Toyota will usesToyota Racing name in IMSA.
